Where to begin? Relatively simple, this dial is simply sublime and enough in itself to make you forget the small flaws of this watch! The relief is incredible: it captures the light in an extraordinary way, whether artificial or natural, direct or indirect. From afar or up close, from the front or the side, it is always splendid! What more can I say? According to Seiko, it evokes the magnificent landscapes of Japan in winter. This is a "limited" series released in 2017 in a run of 7,000 pieces. This one is an SSA385J1, with a power reserve display and a date hand at 6 o'clock. There are also two other variations: the SRPC97J1 with a date window at 3 o'clock, and the SRP843J1, also with a window at 3 o'clock but in a more compact format. Learning a Seiko reference isn't easy... And what's more, this one has an (official) nickname inspired by a cocktail: Fuyugeshiki. It's not easy to remember either! I really like this dial, but that's not all. I'm generally not a fan of classic date windows at 3 o'clock, and here, I love the way the date is displayed. The power reserve perfectly complements the whole look. Plus, once it's put away, I like being able to see the remaining power (41 hours) if I want to put it back on quickly! Now, it's not without its flaws—otherwise, it would be a Grand Seiko! The original steel bracelet is, in my opinion, mediocre. I replaced it with a blue leather strap, which matches the color of the complication hands, and which I find absolutely perfect for this model. Another negative point: the 14.9 mm thickness (for a 40 mm diameter) is too much. It detracts from the elegance of the watch. It would be so much more elegant with 3 or 4 mm less… But the 4R57 movement probably has something to do with it: average precision, but excellent robustness. Conclusion: it really makes you want to own a Grand Seiko, which would erase these flaws! But for the price, it's already an exceptional watch.

I received this watch as a gift for my baptism. It is extremely symbolic for me because it encompasses a great deal of mystical symbolism. As soon as I wear it, I always receive compliments and questions about this model! I've been in love with it for four years!

This watch has a 38.5 mm mirror-polished steel case. The mix of indexes and numerals enhances the already beautifully sunburst dial, whose grainy texture I particularly appreciate. The crown is also very well crafted, which is quite rare on timepieces in this price range. Like many, I regret the mineral glass as well as the original bracelet, in Milanese mesh, but that does not detract from the beauty of this model.

I really like the model. Being able to see the mechanism is something I really appreciate. The watch is of good quality and it is a pleasure to have it in my collection. This is my second Seiko and this brand is truly a favorite. The shiny leather strap is unusual at first but you get used to it quickly.

This model, however, suffers from two negative points. First of all, it is necessary to point out the inevitable hesalite glass. However, it is above all the thickness of the case that will pose a problem for some, especially for a dress watch.

I wanted to buy an affordable Japanese automatic watch. Who better than Seiko to satisfy my desires. So, I visited their site and there, it was love at first sight, the second my eyes crossed the photo of the Seiko Presage Cocktail and its green dial, its case with a sober but elegant design, its brown leather strap and its golden second hand which adds an interesting contrast to the whole. I've been wearing it for more than two years and I'm still as captivated by the beauty of the dial that makes you look down at your wrist all the time. Besides, among the watches I own, the Presage is the one that has been complimented the most, both by my entourage and by complete strangers.

I already found the cocktail series really beautiful with its different dials with effects, each one cooler than the other, but I had never taken the plunge, finding the watches a bit small for me. But this Purple Sunset literally made me succumb! The gradients and reflections they offer are sumptuous, just like the slightly pink hands and indexes, as soon as the light hits this dial, it's a feast for the eyes! I don't regret my choice at all for the moment, to see how it behaves over time :)

It was with her that I took my first steps in mechanical watchmaking, and it was she who gave me watch fever. She is sumptuous! Sometimes dark, sometimes bright, after 2 years of ownership I cannot describe the color precisely as it changes depending on the light. The polished faceted indexes are sublime, particularly when it is dark and a few rays of light come to make them shine in the middle of a midnight blue or even abyssal smoked dial. Let's quickly move on to the flaws that are quickly forgotten, the hardlex glass which is unfortunately scratchable and the 4r35 movement which is neither the noblest nor the most precise of movements but which has the advantage of being extremely easy to maintain. Let's get back to the good points with the date which is superbly well integrated into the dial, the proportions of the case 40.3mm in diameter and 11.2mm in thickness measured, perfect proposals for a beginner who wants a chic watch that has a nice presence on the wrist without being ostentatious. The mirror-polished case and the domed glass accentuate the dressy side of this timepiece. The bracelet is sober and elegant in addition to being of acceptable quality and comfort. The crown marked with the Seiko S logo is pretty and easy to handle. For this price, this little Seiko Presage Cocktail Bluemoon is the perfect solution for maximum emotion!!
