I hadn't ordered a Citizen, but since the store was unable to send me the model I ordered, I went with this one instead, and I don't regret it at all. For under 200 euros, it's a well-made watch with a beautiful guilloché dial that plays with the light, and a polished and brushed bracelet that looks fantastic. A classy little Citizen.

A small citizen

I just received it, so I haven't had it long enough to really have it in my head yet, but my first impression is of a small Lip quartz watch. I find it has a really nice vintage feel. It comes with two straps, one black and one orange. I like the hour markers, the hands that match the colors of the markers, the seconds hand with a lightning bolt, and the bezel that displays the minutes. In short, a very positive first impression.

The pink mother-of-pearl dial is absolutely stunning; it plays with the light, reflecting green, blue, white, and purple – beautiful craftsmanship. I had been eyeing this Seiko for months, and I couldn't afford it, because I was a student and had a low income. Limited edition, it completely disappears from sales websites once you have the means in your pocket. It was only during a completely random detour in a shopping mall that I came across a model on display in a store, and I left with it without hesitation. The Presage Cocktail range needs no introduction, but this is the limited "Houjou" model. The dial is simply captivating: this champagne shade, decorated with gold elements on both sides, is simply sublime and I can't stop contemplating it. The leather strap is of excellent quality, very comfortable and very aesthetic. It is a dress-oriented watch, but its diameter of 40.5 on my 16.5 wrist gives it a certain versatility. Indeed, I wear it quite regularly in a "casual" way (with reserved elegance, it is not a sports watch). A change of strap allows it to have this more casual look. It is one of those that I really wanted, and so I would certainly never part with it.

Between elegance and versatility

I really like the model. Being able to see the mechanism is something I really appreciate. The watch is of good quality and it is a pleasure to have it in my collection. 
This is my second Seiko and this brand is truly a favorite. 
The shiny leather strap is unusual at first but you get used to it quickly.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Star Bar Limited Edition

I received this watch as a gift for my baptism. It is extremely symbolic for me because it encompasses a great deal of mystical symbolism. First of all, it features an open heart that you can see beating when you look at it. It reminds us of the heart we must put into every endeavor in our lives. Seeing the mechanism in motion is very satisfying. The hands are sword-like, like the instruments of knights who embody justice. Finally, the dial is finished in mother-of-pearl honeycomb, which gives it incredible depth depending on the light. The bees symbolize wisdom.
This Seiko Honeycomb is originally a women's model, limited to 3,000 pieces. It was designed to pay homage to the work of Tokyo bartenders. As soon as I wear it, I always receive compliments and questions about this model! I've been in love with it for four years!

A symbolic watch

The Seiko Presage Blue Moon (REF SRPB41J1) is an accessible and elegant watch that will suit many wrists thanks to its contained diameter of 40.5 mm and its case with a thickness of 11.8 mm. Its dial is just sublime thanks to its guilloche finish which gives it a touch of personality.

My opinion on the Seiko Presage Blue Moon

In this price range, you can find just about anything. But Seiko has remarkable expertise, offering the best of what industrial watchmaking has to offer: excellent value for money. That's the feeling this Cocktail gives. While the polished steel case is somewhat ordinary (we would have preferred a gold PVD case or even solid gold, as it deserves it), and the folding clasp is rather basic, the leather strap is beautifully crafted, as is the crown, reminiscent of a Pilot's Watch. What makes the difference is the dial, which always catches the light and, depending on the angle, reveals a constantly renewed look. The sword hands are finely crafted, as are the hour markers. The openworked seconds counterweight stands out beautifully against the dial, and the date is just the right amount of prominent, thanks to the black background with white numerals (we would have liked the numerals to be gold as well, but that would probably have hindered readability). The sapphire crystal case back offers an interesting view of the NH35 caliber, which does its job well, with the typical drift characteristic of this movement (we'll see in a few years). What's interesting is the beautifully crafted, gold-colored oscillating weight, which really enhances the feeling of a "beautiful watch." But the highlight is the dial: I never tire of holding it up to the light every time I check the time to see its reflections. The online images from Seiko are enhanced with filters to best visualize the color gradient, but the reality is much more subtle, and ultimately, that's what I really remember about this watch: classic, subtle, and sublime thanks to its dial. Now sold out, it's worth more than its purchase price. In fact, it's worth that price because it gives the impression of being worth (more) than it actually is. However, it's expensive for what it offers with an NH35 caliber.
