A little-known watch, or at least one that's not very well-known on social media. A modern reinterpretation of Seiko's first diving watch, the SPB 147J1 must take up the challenge of being worthy of its ancestor. I am not disappointed by its qualities. I had been thinking about getting a 62 Mas for a while and when this new edition came out for the 60th Anniversary of the first Seiko diver's watch, I took the plunge. Ideal diameter of 40 mm, increased water resistance to 300 m with a contained thickness and this magnificent mother-of-pearl dial with wave modifications is simply magnificent. A small drawback I find the new buckle a little big which reduces comfort a little.

A very elegant diver's watch with an original case and captivating dial. Magnificent textured dial with changing colors from white to gray. Blued seconds hand contrasts perfectly with the dial. Light gray bezel with a circular azure pattern. Very comfortable, good size. Variable accuracy: -5 seconds per day for a year, then +30 seconds for the past 6 months. One drawback: the folding clasp with two micro-adjustments, which I changed because it was difficult to find the right size for me.

Seiko being a reference in diving watches, it was natural that I turned to this brand to treat myself to one.
