Seiko Presage Cocktail Owner Review : Friendly, massive and paradoxical

This SEIKO Presage Blue Moon was, when it came out, a watch that I immediately liked with its beautiful dial. But, there was something that stopped me from buying it, without knowing exactly what. Buying a watch just for a dial......!! At €419, I always found better in the vintage market, and so I always put off buying it until later. And then one day, last year, a jewelry store in my city was selling off all its watches because it was closed for renovations. And there was a Blue Moon displayed at €249. Well, fate being against me, I bought the SEIKO, the investment being very measured. And it was when I got home that I understood what had made me hesitate in the past. There, I was no longer in the euphoria of the purchase, but in reflection mode. And I realized that I found this watch too big for a dress-watch. 40.5 cm in diameter seems standard, but the crown is too thick, a lack of harmony for my taste..... Anyway, it leaves me wanting more. Too bad, because the dial is beautiful, the finishes are correct, the precision is average, and the bracelet is comfortable (but also very big: it hardly tapers at the buckle). As a result, I have only worn this watch twice. I am keeping it because I do not sell my watches, but it is not my favorite SEIKO in my collection.
