Giorgio Galli is an Italian designer who has been working with Timex for some time. After a 41mm version released in 2019 that had a bit of an effect, the 38mm version came out at the end of 2021 and, in addition to offering a more reasonable size for small wrists, corrects some of the flaws of the first versions. The watch has the perfect dimensions for my taste: 38x45mm, about 11mm high with a slightly domed sapphire. The dial is sunray blue, without superfluous literature. Timex below noon, period. Only a synthetic ruby above 6 o'clock gives the change in the lower part. The faceted and beveled indexes reflect the slightest ounce of light to make it a walking projector, while the rest of the railway is hollowed out to mark each minute. The hands, also faceted, are a good length and offer an anecdotal lume (really non-existent). What really makes this watch different, what made me fall in love at first glance, is its case, whose sides are generously hollowed out to reveal a imitation screw thread on the interior height, as if the dial were screwing into the case. This pattern is repeated on the outside of the screwed case back, revealing the Miyota 9039 with its decorated and badged rotor, and also on the thickness of the rubber strap (very comfortable, with an ingenious long strand attachment system) coordinated with the color of the dial. The crown takes up this design element, making the entire watch very coherent, both fluid and industrial, an effect accentuated by the almost complete brushing of the case, with the exception of the chamfer of the bezel and the recesses on the sides. In summary, this watch is magnificently homogeneous, and its design could make it box in the higher category, the one that will tickle the €700 mark. Only in photo unfortunately, the movement being (very) noisy and clashing a little with the image it wants to give itself. Last negative point for me, the meager water resistance at 5atm. On a watch with such a versatile look, with its sports inspirations and mounted on rubber only, a 10atm would not have been too much and would have made it the wonderful daily under 500€ that we can expect from the American giant. A narrow miss, but no doubt that the Peanut firm will surprise us with a V2, already in the pipeline

Very nice surprise this expedition north GMT! It's simple, I can't take it off anymore! Ultra light, it sits very well on the wrist (17). Compact despite its 41 mm. I love the shape of its very successful cushion case. Timex paid attention to detail, the dial is very beautiful and readable, the date is in black, the GMT mention is yellow like the hand, the crown is signed, sapphire crystal. Titanium case and bezel. Purists will say that we could have done without the open back. I think Timex insists on the fact that it is an automatic. All this really makes you want to go on an adventure.

Resulting from a collaboration with the artist Seconde Seconde, this Q Reissue model proudly displays the colors of the Marvel hero Hulk. I love the format of the basic Reissue and the little details added by the collaboration are very nice, especially this dot-shaped second hand. Bought for the superhero symbol and received the day after my daughter's birth, this watch will forever remain in my collection. Hoping that one day she will be able to wear it herself and remember all the wonderful times we have had and will continue to have together!

We no longer present Timex, founded in 1854 in the United States under the name of Waterbury Clock Company. This watchmaking company is world-renowned for its reliable and affordable watches with very decent finishes. I therefore present to you my Timex Expedition North Field chronograph, from the Expedition North series, which I was able to find for less than 100 euros despite super interesting specifications. We therefore find ourselves with a steel case covered with a gun metal titanium color PVD, a screw-down crown (water-resistant to 100 m) and a sapphire crystal, just that. Of course, its diameter of 43 mm makes it a very present chronograph on a wrist with a circumference preferably of at least 17 cm, but in my case, it goes cream. The silicone strap is comfortable and above all I like the look of the case (black dial with green and white indexes and hands) and the PVD finish which gives it a real military look. This is the kind of watch you can quickly put on in the morning without worrying about setting it thanks to its quartz movement. I had already spotted the classic automatic full titanium version, but finally, an inexpensive opportunity presented itself on this chrono version and I am delighted.

This isn't my first, but my second of the same model, because the first one was lost on a busy street in Marseille. But I bought it again because this Timex had pleasantly surprised me with its quality and I absolutely had to have it again for everyday use. For the price and the sales it often enjoys, this watch is worth a look. It even has a split-seconds chronograph complication that's pleasant to look at and allows you to time yourself between two red lights in the middle of traffic jams. If you find it on sale, I recommend it. Its vintage style makes it endearing.

Timex 1983 e-line, 34 mm, automatic. Yet another reissue. For my part, Timex offers "pleasure" watches at very affordable prices... This model is no exception. I hesitated with the one with a black background on a leather strap. More classic. Not being a fan of metal bracelets, I tried it and was not disappointed. A true vintage with a contained diameter. Discreet on the wrist, easily readable with a basic Miyota movement, for around 200 euros... Special mention for the bracelet which is as comfortable as it is easy to adjust, child's play. Nice purchase.

This watch is made of a mirror-polished steel case. The charm of this timepiece lies mainly in its particularly elegant domed glass. The very fine hands and indexes reinforce the dressy character of this model. We regret the absence of a logo on the crown. In addition, it is worth noting two negative aspects concerning this watch. On the one hand, the original bracelet was of poor quality, which is why it had to be changed. On the other hand, the movement makes a lot of noise, which is never very flattering.

I love this limited edition (500 pieces) from Timex with Seconde Seconde. Beautiful reinterpretation of a Rolex Explorer II Polar by Timex through the overflowing imagination of Romaric André. Affordable, limited, offbeat, comfortable, readable and the seconds hand makes me smile all day long! It's my children's favorite watch!

My first automatic watch! After a small collection of fun and unpretentious quartz watches, I had the pleasure of receiving a beautiful original gift for a birthday! It had been catching my eye for a while with its gray dial, and especially Snoopy, who I am a fan of. Add the motorcycle that has been part of my daily life for over 10 years and there is the winning combo guaranteed. So I like the dial, which reflects the light in different ways depending on the angle at which you look at it, the domed glass (I'm not sure if it's sapphire glass), the date complication, and the transparent back. For a novice it's mesmerizing to be able to admire the automatic movement in operation, especially with the peanut characters! I find it very precise (according to my very personal estimate, we are on + or - 5 seconds but not much more, I always have the same time as my iPhone 🤪), simple, elegant and functional. On the other hand, there are some negative points: the 42-hour power reserve is too short for my taste, if I wear something else 2 days in a row it has to be wound up and I find that a shame; And the original strap, given by Timex as being "responsible" leather, marks very easily (be careful with nails that are too long or the dog's clawed paws!). I alternate it with a Milanese mesh steel strap that completely changes the look of the watch. All this does not take away from the charm of the watch and the pleasure I have in wearing it almost every day...

There are watches that we think about, compare, and hesitate about. And then there is the fun gift that seduces us on an Instagram ad, that we wonder when we will wear it, but that we buy because it is nice and cheap. For this Timex Standard x Peanuts basketball, we are clearly in the second case. What made me fall in love: its dial that lights up entirely with a press on the crown. So the quality of the materials does not seem incredible, but it becomes so when you consider its price (105€). It is clearly the watch that shouts to everyone "I do not take myself seriously" and depending on the event, originality is sometimes much classier than the quality of manufacture. Wear this watch to an NBA party surrounded by celebrities wearing watches costing tens of thousands of euros and I am sure that you will have better reactions than if you wear a "classic" Rolex Datejust. A 40mm case large enough to be distinguished, a contained thickness of 9.5mm and a very soft leather strap, make it a pleasant watch to wear. The not very discreet ticking of its quartz movement will remind you of the clock in your classroom. Only a few months in my collection. I will try to have it signed by an NBA player so that in addition to being fun, it has sentimental value. The two-tone and snoopy dial in extra thickness textured with its ball is very pleasant to look at. I never tire of lighting it up in the middle of the night, the superluminova on the hands becomes useless. The battery will certainly need to be changed quickly.
