Panerai and I have a true love story. A passion that began in the early 2000s, when I discovered this watch on Sylvester Stallone's wrist. To me, it was a revelation: unique, robust, monumental, cinematic... A piece apart in the watchmaking world, which immediately stood out in my mind. From that moment on, I had only one goal: to own one. That's how, in the mid-2000s, I acquired my first Panerai: the PAM 177. A titanium Luminor Marina, with an off-center small seconds hand and a sapphire crystal caseback revealing a Unitas movement. A simple, technical, and elegant model that fulfilled me... until the day I had to part with it. A heartbreak that I would regret for many years. After a patient and passionate search, I finally stumbled upon the one that would rekindle the flame: a PAM 116, 2002 edition. A true gem, produced in very limited quantities—1,200 pieces in 2002, only 300 in 2003. Its brown dial, the color of a cigar cap, is breathtakingly beautiful. It offers a striking contrast with the luminescent hands coated with Luminova, playing with the light and the sun's reflections depending on the viewing angle. The dial is of rare purity: two hands, four numerals, two inscriptions, and the discreet Swiss inscription at the bottom. Nothing superfluous. The titanium, which I particularly like, enhances the whole. And once again, the sapphire crystal case back reveals a finely decorated Unitas movement, adorned with small horizontally engraved "Panerai" signs. But what sets this piece apart even more is its buckle: a unique design that I've only seen on this model. It's a departure from the classic buckles of the Luminor range, yet it perfectly complements the strap and the personality of the watch. I'm a Panerai fan, and I fully embrace it. Since I found this coveted piece, I've worn it almost every day. I acquired it secondhand, at an affordable price, from a trusted Marseille dealer. And this time, it's certain: I'll never part with it again. Next stop? A watchmaking pilgrimage to Paris, heading to Casa Panerai on the Champs-Élysées... with my PAM 116 on my wrist, of course.

I bought myself this PAM00111 second-hand in 2018 and since then it's been love at first sight. I love its sandwich dial, its cushion case and the crown protector. A watch on which I change the strap like I change my t-shirt as it gives it a completely different look depending on whether it's on a canvas or a nato for a more sporty look or on leather for a more elegant look.

The latest arrival in my collection, this Panerai seduced me with its contained diameter of 40mm and its water resistance to 300m. This model is no longer produced and has been replaced by the Quaranta with the same diameter with a thinner case but with a lower water resistance of 100m. It also has the particularity of having a cyclops for the date. Its massive style and its very luminescent indexes make this watch immediately recognizable with its famous crown protector and its rubber very pleasant to wear. It should be noted however that this watch is relatively heavy even if you get used to it quickly.

The Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM00025 is a diver's watch with several interesting features. Its titanium case makes it remarkably lightweight and corrosion-resistant, which is an advantage for a watch intended for aquatic use. The dial, with its distinctive texture, offers good readability, and the luminescent indexes allow you to read the time in low-light conditions. The unidirectional rotating bezel is a useful feature for measuring dive times. The design of the watch, with its distinctive crown guard, is typical of Panerai watches. It is a watch that has a presence on the wrist and is suitable for those who appreciate robust and functional watches. In summary, the Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM025 is a diver's watch with interesting technical features and a distinctive design. It is an option worth considering for those looking for a solid and reliable diver's watch.

The Panerai Submersible PAM02164 challenges conventions with its blend of contradictions. Despite its smaller size and luxurious 18K gold construction, I find it retains the essence of a robust dive watch. Their gold called GoldTech matches my expectations mixing both gloss and privacy. I know it will sound illusory not to catch eyeballs but I feel comfortable with this combo. With its 30ATM water resistance, I appreciate its distinctive style and wearability even thought shiny. The smaller case size (42mm) than regular Luminor or other Submersible offers versatility without compromising on elegance on one hand and a dive watch on the other hand (I don't dive any more btw). Its matte black dial showcases traditional Submersible features, powered by the Calibre P.900 caliber, embodying Panerai's craftsmanship.

No matter what opinion one has of this piece, one thing is for sure, it does not leave one indifferent! It is a limited edition with ecru-colored indices and an embossed dial (PAM00569). I am charmed by its very unique design, which would not be inappropriate in a Jules Verne novel. It is an almost anachronistic watch, with a very strong visual identity that immediately plunges us into a dreamlike science fiction universe. For these reasons I am still biased towards this watch which is not lacking in technical assets either: 72 hours of power reserve, a titanium case and able to survive 300m of depth, it is a real tool watch! Its size remains its main flaw, with 47mm in diameter, it can be cumbersome for long days. Its weight remains limited thanks to the titanium, and it slips easily under a shirt with its construction that refines its silhouette, which compensates for its gargantuan dimensions. I wear it with different types of bracelets, and it happily adapts to the exercise. The date at 9 o'clock is original, and the crown located on the left side avoids unpleasant contact with the wrist. This submersible Panerai is a much more comfortable watch than it seems. I always enjoy having such a different object to tell me the time, with an assumed and playful aesthetic.

This watch is for me a paradox in the collection: I am generally attracted to watches of a limited size (Maximum 40mm excluding crown), I am not at all a "Paneristi" at the base, I am more oriented Vintage (it is from 2021) ... and yet! I became attached to this watch for its "sandwich" dial, the DNA of the brand, for its 8-day manual movement (count no less than 100 turns of the crown to wind it: true!). Basically I could only appreciate this "cushion" case. Its size? Very comfortable for my 17cm wrist: the secret for this, the absence of lugs that would lengthen already large dimensions (45mm excluding crown). Let's talk about the crown: in the shape of a very well finished diamond. And finally it was the opportunity that made me take the plunge for this watch purchased from a friend. If I had to change something, I admit that I would appreciate a less imposing buckle, which is to say nitpicking! I find it very precise and very comfortable to wear with a slightly vintage look in fine and very beautiful blued needles.

Early 2000s: love at first sight on a picture in a magazine, it's a Panerai Luminor! Several points differentiate it from other timepieces: - A large diameter - A cushion-shaped case - A characteristic crown protector, also ensuring water resistance.. - A "sandwich" construction with an openwork dial at the indexes, and placed on a Superluminova disc - Water resistance to 300m for a watch without a unidirectional bezel. - Small seconds at 9 o'clock I was looking for an automatic mechanical watch, readable, robust that could accompany me in my nautical activities, with a new design. On paper, it ticks all the boxes. But, during the first try in store, the size of the watch seemed unsuitable for a 17 cm wrist... Despite this disappointment, the emotion remains present. Better still, over the course of several years of testing, it was confirmed, and the case diameter ended up appearing acceptable to me! In 2015, I broke my piggy bank and set my sights on a model with the right complications for my daily life: the PAM 321, Luminor GMT, with power reserve. Since then, it has remained the favorite in my collection!

What can I say, I have had many Swiss, German, Japanese, French chronographs but no other watches give me what my Radiomir gives off. I do not have a wrist worthy of Stallone. I have worn and still wear watches ranging from 32 to 45mm and my Radiomir remains the most comfortable to wear as it were. I love the history of this often criticized company. I like their military DNA and their case shape especially the Radiomir which reminds me of the Rolex Oyster cases which supply Panerai. The refined dial without seconds is so refined and classy. It is a new watch with each change of strap, a real treat. It is also extremely precise.

48mm ceramic case!!! Chicken wrists, move on. For the Thanos, treat yourself with this extremely simple "DOT" sandwich dial. Only a small submersible in relief at 6 o'clock disturbs the view. A manufacture caliber that is foolproof, precise and robust. A ceramic case that does not scratch. A small complication with the "Jumping hour" that allows you to easily use it while traveling. Very easy to change the bracelets. A real pleasure to wear when your wrist is over 20cm.
