I bought this watch two months ago because I'm a fan of the California dial with its contrasting cream-colored numerals on a matte black background. It's easy to read and contemplate. It's more of a sporty look with this field watch dial. The case is original, quite body-built, with its sandwich cushion shape reinforced with bumpers on the right and left, and the faceted lugs that add to the sporty feel. This is what the brand is selling with its adventurous ambassadors, and it certainly appealed to me as well. What I hadn't noticed when I bought it without trying it on was the multitude of polished chamfered edges that never miss an opportunity to play with the light. No matter how the watch is oriented, there are always several reflections on the edges, facets, and flat bezel to catch the eye. But I'm not even talking about the flat sapphire crystal, which shines with its transparency. Enough to make it a little more chic, and make me hesitate to hike with it! The watch is rather thin despite its highly crafted case and 200m water resistance. I was a little worried about its 41mm diameter, placed on an even wider cushion, which makes it a bit imposing. On my 17-inch wrist, I'd say it's borderline. Furthermore, the lugs aren't at all dipping, which quickly creates a gap between the wrist and the bracelet. Fortunately, they're short. The brand recently released this case in a 39mm size, and I think it's more versatile. What I like less is the lack of comfort of the strap buckle. It's a half-butterfly folding clasp, and is adjusted to the bracelet holes spaced 5mm apart. This forces me to choose a setting between too tight and too loose. But even in the floating setting, the very angular buckle digs into the skin and leaves its mark, which isn't very comfortable. In addition, the half-butterfly barely leaves enough room for your hand to pass through when it's deployed. In the end, I'm satisfied with this purchase. This watch occupies an important place in my collection, accompanying me with casual and even sporty outfits.

I snapped it up on the net, but hadn't tried it before. It's beautiful with its white dial, its slightly weathered leather, its slightly coppery case... 44mm on my wrist has never been a problem, on the contrary. So I wear it from time to time, but, because there's a but... its crown is disproportionately large, and if I have the misfortune to use a computer keyboard, it gets stuck in my hand, leaving a pretty mark... This watch is particularly important to me because it is my first timepiece in this price range. Until now, I only owned models under 1000 euros. This watch is particularly endearing thanks to its art-deco aspect, reinforced by its very elegant square case. I also fell for the historical aspect of this model since it marks the 140th anniversary of the brand. In addition, the transparent back that reveals the oscillating weight is also very pleasant. The ostrich leather strap is well suited to the watch and accentuates its dressy character. I don't see any flaw to report, except perhaps the low power reserve, which doesn't bother me at all personally.

Since 2023, I have had a buying fever. I stumbled upon the Alpina website and my eyes were hooked on this model. It has several complications that you don't see often! Chronograph with big date including a sub-dial that measures the tenth of a second. The movement is certainly in Quartz and it is very precise. The dial is very readable, worthy of an aviator's watch. For the finishes that this watch offers, it is really not worth its price. The details are truly incredible. I think that Alpina is really an underrated brand and has nothing to be ashamed of compared to the big Swiss brands.

I wanted a regulator for a long time but without falling in love with what existed, until this Alpina extreme. Magnificent timepiece, very precise, an unusual design and top finish. I bought the steel bracelet of the brand, even if the rubber one is also very good. Its 42 mm fits very well on my wrist and its weight is quickly forgotten. In short, a very nice acquisition.

I was absolutely seduced by the design of this watch: refined, with a small red accent on the hands; a good overall balance with the date at 6 o'clock that does not spoil the symmetry; a very beautiful brushed metal finish. The watch is also quite precise and very robust in appearance. It is a little thick, but without being bulky or heavy. I prefer to wear it on NATO or a leather strap, rather than on the original steel strap which adds to the weight and lacks micro-adjustments. That said, it is extremely versatile and can have a sporty or dressy look depending on the strap. I find the dial magnificent and perfectly readable. I would have kept it permanently, if it had not been for a comfort problem, which I think reserves this watch for large wrists. I have a wrist of about 16.5 cm, so rather thin, and this watch has never been balanced on me: on the left wrist, the crown digs into my skin, on the right wrist, the horn touches the edge of my bone which ends up becoming painful. I will therefore fall back, with regret, on watches of smaller dimensions.

The 300m water resistance is appreciable and makes it a real diver (even if the LumiNova is not incredible). The play of colors and the depth of the dial are its main qualities (thanks to a very pretty flange that acts as a rotating bezel that can be manipulated by the second screw-down crown). The domed glass also contributes to its charm and the impression of depth. The applied indexes are also very fine and very pretty. The hands are also level and I appreciate the integration of the date. The engraved case back is also very nice. The big plus is also this rubber strap that suits it wonderfully and gives a style halfway between sport and almost sartorialism. In addition, it gives an impression of quality, solidity and incredible comfort. However, it can be combined with a black leather strap or a metal strap without end-link for a very pronounced vintage style. In short, a real must-have! A look that has crossed the decades and is still just as popular. I think it will remain my must-have for many years to come. I am really delighted with it.
