I've seen and tried on many watches with integrated straps, but I'd never found one I truly liked… until now! Then, just after buying another watch, I stumbled upon an ad for this little Zenith.

It wasn't the perfect time, but it was love at first sight, and I snapped it up without doing any research, without worrying about not being able to try it on or its condition.
It arrived, I fell in love, and since then, it's been the jewel of my fledgling collection. It arrived in impeccable condition, with its box and papers, and I was also thrilled to own a piece from such a historic brand.

A great find

I stumbled upon this watch on YouTube and was immediately impressed by its features: water-resistant to 500 meters, Swiss made, a beautifully sandblasted case, and much more, all for under €1,000. I finally gave in and was even more amazed when I received it and saw the quality of the craftsmanship.

A few years later, I bought the steel bracelet, and while it looks good with any bracelet, it's even more stunning this way. For me, it's a watch of the caliber of a Tudor: historic, robust, and technically advanced… but for a third of the price! Plus, you won't see it on everyone's wrist.

Brand new with a vintage look

A model that you end up familiar with because you come across it so often on social media. I could say the same things as everyone else: perfect size, comfortable, good value for money, understated, sporty, and chic all at once...

But what I remember is that it's one of the watches I wear the most, because it's incredibly versatile: with a T-shirt, a shirt, a swimsuit... in short, it's a watch that goes with everything and works all the time, and yet I never tire of it.

The best part is that it fits any strap, and it can add a touch of fun that might be missing on steel.

The perfect balance

An impulse purchase at first that actually became a love at first sight.
We love new watches in stores, but I really wanted to treat myself to a vintage one for the charm, the history and for a lower price.
My eye quickly fell on an Omega to have a watch from a big brand at a price that has nothing to do with today's.
So I started looking and looking... In the end, it was by chance on a Facebook group that I came across this little Geneva in very good condition and which does not look like all the other Genevas with this blue dial.

My first vintage

I discovered the brand by chance via the re-dressers and then the collaboration with Seconde Seconde on Instagram, and it was the perfect opportunity to treat myself! An affordable watch with lots of possible configurations (two straps and two bezels). That, plus the collaboration, made it the perfect fun watch for my collection.

It's not haute horlogerie (Miyota movement) or very well-finished, but it's always fun to wear from time to time with other watch fans!

A real fun watch

"They do anything other than razors?" I was told in a watch shop when I showed my wrist... Hello first impression.

I got this watch back from my grandfather who wore a Vacheron Constantin as another watch, yes I lost the draw.

I wore it little at first and then I found a shop (other than the one I originally bought) that offered to contact the brand to give them back their original strap and off we went!

This watch has the power to draw you in every morning thanks to its shape, its versatility, and especially its tropical dial, where time has had an almost magical effect. Over 56 years, it has transformed into an anthracite gray with gold accents. It's not for those who love NOS vintage watches or for watchmaking beginners who, having experienced this, will only see flaws. But for me, a vintage enthusiast (90% vintage), it's simply a marvel.

Hypnotic

My latest watch, this Omega reference 166.0173, is my first vintage watch (1970s), and after a few weeks on my wrist, I love it!
I don't even know where to start, there are so many things I love. Perhaps the diameter: 36 mm. It's the smallest watch in my collection, and frankly, it fits perfectly on the wrist.

Then, without a doubt, the integrated bracelet (ref. 1186/215): without it, the style of this watch would be completely different. Plus, it's very comfortable.

Another detail I love: the green sunray dial, which catches the light beautifully and, in itself, makes you want to look at it constantly.

And finally, aesthetically, the crown: I love its size, the Omega logo... It really gives the watch charm (even if it's a little complicated to use).

As for the caliber, it's equipped with an Omega 1012. For a vintage watch, I find it keeps time quite well, but the power reserve (or perhaps the automatic recharge) isn't exceptional. Perhaps it needs servicing?

I associated a personal story with this watch when I bought it, and I was a little afraid of being disappointed since it was an impulse buy online. Ultimately, I'm convinced it will never leave my collection, and that I'm going to have a great time with it!

And wouldn't it be a green Oyster Perpetual 26 (Ref: 126000) but even more beautiful? (Well, less robust, okay!)

To contemplate without ever tiring of it

I bought this little Geneva in a pretty pitiful state, after a quick visit to my watchmaker for a complete overhaul and a little bracelet polishing it came back to life. I find its blue dial super cool, it's a very pleasant watch to wear, the size is perfect for me with its 70's look with its integrated bracelet I love it and it can be worn on all occasions.
