Auricoste Spirotechnique Acier cadran chiffres Owner Review : Majestic, asymmetrical and comfortable

As with all my Dialicious reviews, I must provide some context for the purchase of this watch. I found myself temporarily unemployed in 2024, and I spent my time watching Cousteau documentaries, which, of course, weren't from my era. So I caught up on this lost ground, of which I am the absolute victim. And then, the shock: I fell in love with these adventures and these landscapes. I tried as best I could to put myself in the shoes of these adventurers, in that era. I obviously idealized reality and romanticized it a lot in my head. Nevertheless, it was decided: I had to try diving. Back to January 2025, in my professional meanderings, I was comforted by the idea of a sunny vacation for the coming summer. Luckily, the Baroness and I were invited to Greece, to a paradise island, with just the right amount of tourists, idyllic landscapes, and a view of Eden. And... What's 3km away? The island's dive center. It's the end of January, and I book my week of diving there nine months in advance. And the miracle of the internet works, putting me in touch with the managers who tell me (obviously) that there's space. The how is being discussed, the why is being worked out; now comes the question of what? Which watch should I choose? Doxa, ZRC, Blancpain (or should I say Swatch Blancpain, given my budget),...? And then, Auricoste brings out the FUSCO, a watch I'm obviously enchanted by, but which isn't within my budget (I prefer to wait for a second-hand/third-hand). And while looking, I come across spirotechnics. Well, well, spirotechnics reminds me of something. I look at the dial design, magnificent. I look at the diver's design, magnificent. I look at the hands, magnificent. I look at the case, original, but no less magnificent. So, you'll notice that in a state of absolute objectivity, I find myself in mid-June going to see one. I put it on my wrist, and there it is, the pschit in the noggin. The watch fits perfectly, despite its size; it doesn't cast a shadow on my wrist. The thickness is perfect. The sight of the watch reminds me of a marine animal, slender, valiant, and majestic. The diver's design reminds me of the summer to come (or lived, if you're reading this after the summer of 2025); the mention of spirotechnics adds that certain something to the importance I attach to it; in short, I'm captivated. I was only supposed to go see it, but I finally leave with it within 20 minutes. More photos to come for the diving course!
