Je ne suis pas un disciple du feng-shui, bien au contraire, mais les instruments qui représentent le monde dans lequel on vit me fascinent. Surtout les plus anciens. Comme par example la machine d'Anticythère qui a deux mille ans. Avec le Luo Pan (羅盤)on est sur un instrument encore plus ancien, car il aurait environ 4000 ans. 
La montre elle même est très simple et réussie de ce point de vue. C'est une deux aiguilles larges et rouges percées de façon à laisser apparaitre les caractères chinois sous jacents. Elle est très lisible, c'est ce qui m'importe le plus. La trotteuse est un disque Yin-Yang central, donc très présente et discrete à la fois. Le mouvement est un quartz TMI VH31  à seconde fluide, ce qui fait que le Yin-Yang tourne sans à coup. Le fond reprend ce fameux disque de Yin-Yang dans une figure octogonale (c'est une forme protectrice symbole de prospérité et d'éternité). Le boitier fait 12mm d'épaisseur pour 40mm de diamètre. La couronne est placée à 12h afin de ne pas briser l'haromnie de l'objet, comme c'est une montre à quartz ce n'est pas vraiment un problème. Le bracelet noir et rouge assorti en cuir est très confortable et possède des pompes rapides si on souhaite le changer ou régler l'heure.  
La bande son à écouter serait selon moi l'univers sonore d'Oxygène de Jean Michel Jarre qui est un voyage à travers des dimensions inconnues de notre monde. Like, for example, the Antikythera Mechanism, which is two thousand years old. With the Luo Pan (羅盤), we're looking at an even older instrument, as it's estimated to be around 4,000 years old.
The watch itself is very simple and successful in this respect. It has two wide, red hands, pierced to reveal the underlying Chinese characters. It's very legible, which is what matters most to me. The seconds hand is a central Yin-Yang disc, so it's both prominent and discreet. The movement is a TMI VH31 quartz with a smooth seconds hand, which means the Yin-Yang rotates without any jerking. The case back features this famous Yin-Yang disc in an octagonal shape (a protective shape symbolizing prosperity and eternity). The case is 12mm thick and 40mm in diameter. The crown is positioned at 12 o'clock to maintain the watch's harmony; since it's a quartz movement, this isn't really an issue. The matching black and red leather strap is very comfortable and features quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes or time adjustments. The perfect soundtrack, in my opinion, would be the soundscape of Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygène, a journey through dimensions unknown to our world. Perhaps the third part in particular.
