Sinn 856 Owner Review : Retro, readable and interesting

Limited series of 856 pieces, very readable watch since it was initially designed for observers in planes during the 2nd World War. 40 mm in diameter and thin bezel: it is indeed very readable. The salmon-ivory colored indexes give it a little retro style, further reinforced when worn on the leather strap, very original and very comfortable to wear. The Tegiment treatment that Sinn applies to its steel gives it increased resistance to scratches, and an almost titanium appearance (without being brushed steel, the appearance of the case and the metal strap are a very successful matte gray). 11 mm thick, solid back, black dial, very discreet date, which does not interfere. It is very well made, very well finished, very pleasant to wear, and the quality-price ratio seems excellent to me. Water-resistant to 20 bars, metal strap adjustable by 2 cm without tools. I had to wait almost a year for Sinn to produce it and send it to me, initially bought with the leather strap, I bought the metal strap in addition, and I alternate according to my desires. A very beautiful and good product, a quality that seems to me very comparable to the more prestigious Swiss brands for a quarter of the price...
