Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar Owner Review : Readable, elegant and original

This watch has nothing to do with perpetual calendars with sub-dials like JLC or IWC (among others). The perpetual calendar is there, including moon phases, but the dial remains almost bare, which makes the information ultra readable and contributes to the elegance of this module. Very thin bezel, almost non-existent, beautiful blue hands, discreet railroad track around the edge. 40 mm in diameter (its ivory white dial makes it appear a little larger than its actual dimensions) and 13 mm thick. 55 hours of power reserve The finishes are perfect, on the front and back. Very beautiful movement, with the traditional 3/4 plate typically German. This does not reach the quality of finish of a Lange, but the price has nothing to do with those practiced by this brand, for a design, an originality and a readability that have nothing to envy, I find. Dress watch, but still easy to wear because it is not too ostentatious. A pleasure to find it regularly, and to wear this brand that we do not come across very often, but which designs very pretty pieces. The crown is only used for winding and setting the time. The different parameters are adjusted either individually by several discreet pushers located on the sides, or simultaneously by a single pusher that acts on all the parameters: fast and efficient.
