Zelos Spearfish GMT Owner Review : Bold, functional and spicy

Zelos is a Singaporean brand, and I don't know of any retailer that carries the brand. Quantities are limited, and this Spearfish GMT is a limited edition, meaning production is even lower. Although I never buy a watch without trying it on, I broke my rule with this model. I'd heard great things about the brand, and the model's proportions led me to believe it would fit comfortably on my wrist. The price of the watch wasn't unreasonable either (otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it without trying it on). The watch was listed at €1,000, which is still a lot of money, so what do you get for €1,000 at Zelos? First of all, a watch that's water-resistant to 200 meters with a Swiss Sellita SW330-2 movement, a true "desktop" GMT movement (the independently adjustable hand is the GMT hand). The oscillating weight is custom-made for Zelos. The dial and caseback are made of sapphire, as is the GMT bezel insert. The bracelet is equipped with a tool-free micro-adjustment. The watch is coated with a hardener that will protect it from scratches, and it has a well-executed textured dial. In all transparency, the model I wanted first was in aventurine, but it was already sold out. Of the 3 remaining models, I had my heart set on the Bumblebee because it offered colors that contrasted with the rest of my collection. The watch is pleasant on the wrist, and the bracelet, although generic, is comfortable. Reliable and precise, the Spearfish GMT is a good companion for traveling. Rather sporty, it is not the watch for the businessman, but rather for the traveler who sets off to discover new horizons or the father on vacation, and so on. Zelos is a micro brand little known to the general public with an excellent quality/price ratio, which dares to be different by mixing inspirations, sometimes in a clumsy way but which does not resemble all its sisters.
