A diver's watch for a guy who doesn't dive is a great classic, but a diver's watch for diving in this deep black dial is essential. I love this watch! And I love these big indexes that click day and night. I was so frustrated by my previous purchase (my Sternglas which is not luminescent, me who loves sleeping with my watch), that I went all out! My first Yema, there will be others!

What if this Seiko 5 was my favorite watch!? Bought for €150 2 years ago, it's crazy the pleasure it gives me and the impression - for this song - of having a watch on my wrist... precious. Of great value. The gilding that frames the indexes, the date window, the hands and even the Five logo applied just like the brand, all of this delights me as much as possible. And the sunburst metallic of the dial that adds something at little cost, I love it!!! Its small 36mm format bothered me, even disappointed me at first. Now, it's this size that I like and that I'm looking for. Yes, really, a watch that makes you rich because for this price, you can afford it much more often than reason should allow. And when you know the infinite variation of models released in the Five series, you tell yourself that you haven't finished having fun without (too much) counting.

Bought during lockdown when one of my umpteenth Citizens broke down, this is my first conscious purchase of an automatic watch. I fell in love with the "compass" side of this watch and its Bauhaus design. At the time, a Miyota meant nothing to me, nor did a 42 mm diameter. The test review of this model carried out on the La petite trotteuse channel finally convinced me and I bought it online. Sternglas is a German brand from Hamburg and I recommend these watches to get into watchmaking, especially when an open back gives access to the magic of the mechanism (even if it is a Miyota, yes). Now I have other watches and I wear this Topograph (that's its name) less, but I still take it out from time to time. The leather on the strap must have progeria because it aged 100 years in 3 years, but I still like the watch.

A German one to start with.

The Prospex Twilight Blue! I think what I liked when I first saw it in the window was the bet made in terms of colors. And first of all this steel bezel where the red of the first quarter is painted in an orangey red, and it is this orange that grabbed me, clearly. With the sunray blue of the dial that turns from deep to shallow, it matches incredibly well. I love it. I also love the case, 44 mm in stainless steel with anti-scratch treatment and the bracelet with large links that reinforces the feeling of robustness of the whole. The way they hug my wrist is perfect.

Sunset for every day

An asymmetrical watch as possible with its manta ray-shaped case and its sunburst dial in quarters. A marvel of originality a little dated. Sometimes, depending on the light, the dial can seem flat. Fortunately the carrot hair-shaped second hand makes it pleasant in all circumstances.

Legendary

I always wanted a Yema superman, when I learned that they were going to release it with a "manufacture" movement, it told me biennial launch was on Kickstarter but as I prefer human contact I went to my AD in Lyon to order it.
Ordered mid-February and received at the end of September, a little long but hey.
Once the box was opened (the case is great but hey, it's just a box), I found it magnificent (it's true that photos are always a little misleading).
The only small flaw is perhaps the bracelet which is a little rigid.

The long awaited Superman CMM10...

I present to you my Superman 241117 blue dial from the 70s. It's in really great condition considering its age. It's currently the only watch I own with a blue dial, and frankly, it's amazing! Sometimes dark, sometimes bright, or even dark as the abyss. There have been several dial versions with different indexes. I particularly like the U-shaped indexes in this dial, highlighted with a yellowed tritium line and pointed inside the U. Of course, we find the legendary Yema bezel block, Bakelite bezel, and spade second hand.
In the end, it's my most Dress diver!

Vintage is beautiful

I present to you my YEMA Superman blue lagoon in Quartz version (vast subject ...) it is a very pretty watch but not very loved by lovers of the Yema brand? ... Yet I am one of the people who love Yema and I would never part with this watch ... it is too far from the codes of the iconic superman version of the French brand (I have two other Superman a gmt and a bronze green) ... the blue lagoon has first of all a diameter of 40 mm and its shape and its case is completely different from a classic superman ... But I personally like this watch a lot, it was delivered to me at the time with a steel bracelet but I prefer it on a blue or black Tropic type bracelet and I alternate. Its diameter is 40mm Waterproof 300m Case thickness 13mm mineral glass Price 300 euros.



But Yema Lagoon Blue Superman…

I had been dreaming of a Yema Superman for a long time, but I didn't know which one to choose. This proposal made my mind up. Tropical dial, CMM 10 by Olivier Mory, bezel with gray color effects depending on the light, 99 copies. I didn't hesitate for long despite a certain price, but it's a reasonable price for such a beautiful manufacture movement. The FKM bracelet is super comfortable. And the little detail that made me swoon, the spade second hand. Another small hidden detail that's very classy: the number of the watch, mine 5/99, I'm surprised there are still some left. In terms of precision, my watch is at three seconds per day, it's perfect. I'm sure it's a future collector's item.
