This 1985 Tudor Oyster Prince is the perfect blend of robustness, practicality, and elegance. This watch from the brand with the shield, considered by many to be the little Rolex, shares all of its hallmarks: case, fluted bezel, screw-down crown, and cyclops at the date display. However, this isn't a Rolex, but a true Tudor, with its own visual identity. From the moment you see it, this watch catches the eye; it's almost solar-like. The fluted bezel accentuates the eye's attraction to the dial and highlights all the necessary information. It's a lightweight and compact watch that, as you use it, will fade into insignificance on your wrist. As for its practicality, it can be worn for any occasion. For me, it's the water resistance of the Rolex steel case that reassures me throughout my daily use. I know I can wear it every day, even in water, without the risk of damaging it. In short, if one word can sum up this watch, it's "simplicity." It's impossible to get bogged down with it: quick time adjustment and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours; you can wear it in all everyday situations. For me, it's a truly beautiful piece that can be found for between €1,000 and €1,500 on the pre-owned market; and for that price, it's hard to find a better vintage model.
