I was instantly captivated when I stumbled upon an Instagram photo of this model. Since I was visiting French-speaking Switzerland, being a Swiss resident, I decided to contact Bucherer. Initially, the watch was either unavailable or already reserved in the Swiss stores. After making a few calls, particularly to the Bern store, I was finally able to reserve it. I went to the store that same day with a friend who was interested in a Pelagos. We were treated like royalty, for our first Tudor purchase at Bucherer. The refined atmosphere, the expertise, and my passion for these timepieces made the day truly special. After finally putting it on my wrist, the magic happened. As a big fan of vintage Rolex watches, especially the 1675, 16710, and 6542, I quickly understood Tudor's deliberate choice of an aluminum insert, a gilt dial, and a dial/insert strongly reminiscent of the Rolex 6542 on its riveted bracelet. I have some wonderful anecdotes from that day that will remain etched in my memory, particularly the visit to a floor dedicated to collector's pieces where I discovered a 16713, a reference I had never seen before. In conclusion, I am very satisfied with my purchase; this watch is perfect in my eyes and will be with me for a long time.

I had wanted a Tudor for a few years and Monfils fils went to the antipodes on the day of the presentation of the BB58 GMT…for an enthusiast like me the excuse was too good 😂. Everything works with this watch, thinner than the old one, a perfect diameter for me and a recognized quality.

TUDOR releases this variant of the famous Black Bay 58 in GMT. Finally, with reasonable dimensions in 39mm, a nice evolution with its new movement :

 Black Bay 58 GMT 

This new GMT from Tudor is a great success. Indeed, it is much less thick than the other models of the brand making it more harmonious. Still on the design side, vintage lovers will be seduced by perfectly balanced warm colors. Those having some reservations about the too pronounced gold side, go and discover the watch at a watchmaker, you will see that it is perfectly balanced on this point. The watch is also equipped with the T-fit bracelet which allows an adaptive adjustment according to the heat which is very appreciable. 

The only point of improvement could be the fact of adding a cyclops on the date in order to be able to facilitate the reading of the latter.

The best GMT from Tudor

This Tudor is the latest addition to my collection and my first review on Dialicious. It's also my first with the GMT complication, which is more of an excuse than a real use. Initially starting with a "simple" BB 58, it caught my eye during my research with its black and red coke bezel. Although I wasn't initially attracted to the red, it's relatively dark and blends perfectly with the gold indexes and numerals on the bezel.
I was totally convinced in the store, as the photos didn't show it off enough.
It also has the following appeal: water resistance to 200m with its screw-down crown, Metas caliber.
And finally, the pleasant surprise, this brushed "oyster" style bracelet with T-fit adjustment. I look at the dial/bezel as often as the bracelet itself.
It's certainly the latest addition to my collection, but its popularity is climbing every day. Tudor has really made a big impact with this model, which I wouldn't have considered based on a simple description of its design.
