My Seiko SKX013 is a true favorite. It's with it that I developed my love for diving watches. Its first asset is undoubtedly its compact 38mm diameter, perfect for my 16cm wrist. The second is that it's a true diver's watch, water-resistant to 200m, so I can dive into the water with my eyes closed.
My SKX dates from 1997, almost at the launch of the SKX range in 1996. Its indexes and hands, weathered by time, won me over at first glance!

I really fell in love with the Grands Fonds MN64 Heterium model, which has a gradient blue dial that changes color throughout the day depending on the ambient light. The steel bracelet is comfortable and perfect for summer because its extension adapts to the movements of the wrist.

I bought this Omega Speedmaster Mark II (ref. 327.10.43.50.01.001) in 2023, somewhat on impulse, drawn to its retro look and strong personality. And ever since... it hasn't left my side.

From the first glance, I knew it was different. The cushion-shaped case, all brushed steel, solid yet elegant, immediately took me back to the 1970s, to a time when watchmaking was bold. And yet, everything inside is modern. The Co-Axial movement is a marvel of precision and fluidity. You can tell this watch is built to last.

What I love about it is that it doesn't try to copy the Moonwatch. It has its own style. And yet, it remains a Speedmaster, with all the history, heritage, and legitimacy that implies.

I've worn it while traveling, during casual moments, and in my everyday life, and it always fits in naturally. It catches the eye, but subtly. It's not a "bling" watch; it's a watch that speaks to those in the know.

In a word? Authentic.
And for me, that's what makes all the difference.

A Speedmaster apart, with a real soul

The C-02 Héritage nobat piqued my interest because the brand's offices are just a few blocks from mine. As a dive watch enthusiast and a keen observer of their history, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms really spoke to me, and Akrone was open about its inspiration. Along with the release of the Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms, it was a no-brainer to get closer to this model with its France Ebauche movement.
After trying the watch on their premises, I placed an order a few weeks later and came to pick it up. Two very enjoyable moments, with people talking about their passion for watches, the history of their brand, and their work. We didn't keep track of the time; it was very informative.
The watch itself is very distinctive; it makes no secret of its status as a tool watch. So far, it's the most expensive watch they've sold, due to the movement stamped into the case. It's very present on the wrist, not so much for its diameter (41mm), but for its thickness (14.4mm), mainly due to the domed glass.
Its fully brushed case currently bears no marks, despite wearing it almost every weekday.
It's solid, precise, has character, and is from Nantes! Perfect? Not in every way.
After the honeymoon period, you always find little things to criticize. If I had to name them, they would be the straps without much added value, the metal is too bulky and the rubber a bit coarse, the balls are truly enormous.
I put a black Tropic from Joseph Bonnie on it and voila, it was perfect!
The lume is really not its strong point; it's not powerful and doesn't last very long.
We can also criticize the hands, which look a bit cheap and are too long, hiding the track, and are less easy to adjust because of the domed glass. An important piece of information that wasn't on their website: it's self-winding, but unidirectional, meaning the watch is wound only in one direction. This causes a loud noise from the balance wheel as it spins in a vacuum. Personally, I like it!
This is my daily watch during the week and it's set to +1.5 seconds per day, which is perfect.
I'm patiently waiting for the new 39mm C-02s, which will be released in summer 2025! A silver-plated steel case, a black dial, a not-too-domed crystal, a crown protector, perhaps simpler, less technical straps, and a thickness of around 11mm—it would be perfection.

A watch enthusiast (consumer) for almost 40 years, I have had the opportunity to wear many brands, Longines, B&R, Tag, IWC, Breitling, Omega, Seiko... and so on, Tudor 21 years ago caught my attention with the quality of its timepieces, the finish, the design, the solidity and a conception that make this brand among the most attractive on the market even in 2023. To support my opinion, I am presenting that day BB58 blue, perfect due to its size in 39mm on an Oyster bracelet (I would do without the rivets because they are of no use and an adjustable clasp buckle by increments would be really welcome), water-resistant to 200m (be careful to regularly check that the crown is screwed down as on all divers), it is comfortable to wear, readable day and night, refined for a sports watch and therefore goes with all outfits, this blue is magnificent and allows me to have the color in my collection, it is the descendant of the 16610 removed from the Rolex catalog in 2010, moreover it takes up the price 13 years later with + 3800€, a budget for most of us, but it is on all the outings. Already a Must!

A daily pleasure

This watch is sublime, I've been wearing it almost every day for a year and I never get tired of it.
Everything charms me about this watch: its design, its proportions, its history.
I have it on both Tudor bracelets: Steel & Fabric. Both suit it perfectly.
It is also very precise and despite the fact that it is a toolwatch with a sporty look, it has a dressy side because of its deep blue & silver accents.

So comforting

Following the discovery of this new iteration of the iconic Tudor model, unveiled a week ago at the Watches and Wonders 2025 trade show, I went to the store to get a real feel for this watch. I was worried that this new dial color might be a bit flashy or offbeat, but I was quickly reassured.
First of all, I was lucky because the store had just received one and it hadn't been reserved yet.
Furthermore, I fell in love with it when I tried it on my wrist!!!!
The color is simply incredible, indefinable!!!
The dark burgundy of the dial blends perfectly with the cherry red bezel.
The reflections, changing with the light and the angle of view, are sublime. Add to that the slimness of the case, reduced to 11.7 mm, the perfect diameter of 39 mm, the METAS-certified movement, the new, stunning 5-link bracelet, and the T-fit adjustment... for a reasonable price of €4,600... A MASTERPIECE!

TUDOR Black Bay 58 Burgundy Master Chronometer – The Icon Sublimated (2025)

There are watches that don't just make an impression: they captivate them. The all-new TUDOR Black Bay 58 Burgundy, version 2025, is clearly one of them.

Its dial is a visual enigma, oscillating between deep cherry, intense morello cherry, and sometimes even velvety black, depending on the light and angle. A lively, textured, almost organic dial. It gives this watch a soul, a magnetic presence that transcends the simple timepiece.

The 39.02 mm case remains faithful to the perfectly balanced proportions of the Black Bay 58, while offering an ultra-reduced thickness, very appreciable on the wrist. And as is often the case with TUDOR, a discreet nod flatters enthusiasts: this BB58 Burgundy 2025 pays homage to a unique prototype from the 1990s, possibly reference 79180 or 79190, a secret but precious part of the brand's history.

No doubt this Tudor BB 58 is a great watch in its category. Suffice to say that it ticks (for me) all the boxes of a "toolwatch". What I liked above all was its diving/vintage side without crown protector, its contained thickness of 12 mm as well as its diameter of 39 mm. With its "Kénesis" manufacture caliber it has a remarkable precision on my wrist of + 1 second/day, a real treat. 
Depending on the seasons and the moment, I change its strap, the fabric for the summer, the steel and the leather in winter. Everything suits it well, I would like to find it a good rubber strap without space between the strap and the case. You will have understood I am filled with its versatility.
