I was looking for a watch with a story, a Swiss watch, a vintage look, a reissue of an older model, not too big, and I came across this Nivada. It has a 38mm diameter, a stunning green dial with magnificent reflections, an amazing lume, a black ceramic bezel, a Soprod P024 movement, a domed sapphire crystal, and a screw-down case back engraved with the model's emblem. It's fitted with a ladder-style steel bracelet, and I also own a black Tropic version. It's a limited edition of 75 pieces without a date and 75 pieces with a date, so 150 in total. They always say that if you don't feel your watch on your wrist, it's because it's made for you, and that's certainly the case for me. It's so comfortable you forget you're wearing it, except when you look at it; it reminds me of its presence, much to my delight. I wholeheartedly recommend it to lovers of fine timepieces...

Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver Dial Green Limited Edition

The Seiko SSB455P1—when I saw it in my jeweler's window, I went in, tried it on, and bought it without a second thought, all in 15 minutes flat! I absolutely fell in love with this model: the integrated bracelet is incredibly comfortable, the crystal is sapphire, the Japanese 8T63 quartz movement is highly accurate and reliable, the dial is exceptional in my opinion, the case is brushed with both matte and polished finishes, and the 40mm diameter makes it ideal for all wrist sizes—sporty-chic in all its glory. For me, it has no flaws, except perhaps that they should have made it automatic. It's a welcome change from Prospex and Seiko 5s, a perfect everyday watch.



Sport-chic, absolutely beautiful.

Lorus is a Seiko brand, quality watches at reduced prices, €150 for this model, quartz chronograph, sporty look, 43mm diameter, unfortunately no sapphire crystal, 316L steel, screw-down case back, 100m water resistant, reliable, precise watch, what more could you ask for at a reduced budget, Japanese Seiko movement known and recognized.

Good value for money

It was love at first sight when I found this watch. A unique design, a Seiko VK63 mecaquartz movement, a sapphire crystal, a 316L stainless steel case with a black PVD coating, a screw-down case back with a beautiful engraving, and a stunning dial if you appreciate this kind of decoration. It comes with a white nylon strap, and I've added two more silicone straps, one black and one bright white, which are more comfortable than the slightly stiff nylon. The watch is very pleasant to wear, very lightweight, and discreet on the wrist thanks to its 39mm diameter. It's a limited edition of 300 pieces.

The Hand

Victorinox Pro Dive 300m titanium, a watch designed to face all situations, the automatic and Swiss G-Shock, black PVD treated titanium case, rubber strap, SW-220-1 movement, a quality watch, robust with its own DNA, despite its 43mm diameter, it knows how to be forgotten on the wrist due to its lightness, personally I prefer it on the yellow silicone strap matching the touches of yellow on the dial and hands.

Swiss Army Knife

The U-Boat Darkmoon 44mm was an impulse buy due to its originality and look. The dial, along with the entire mechanism (a Swiss Ronda 712.3 quartz movement), is bathed in oil. It's a high-quality movement, and the watch comes on a signed leather strap with an Italian design. The case is bronze PVD-coated steel, giving it a vintage look, as is the bronze dial. I've only had it for a few months, and the leather strap is still quite stiff. Combined with the 44mm diameter, it's not the most comfortable watch to wear; perhaps I should try it with its rubber strap.

The Tissot brand was created in 1853 by Charles-F&eacute;licien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile in Le Locle in Switzerland. This is the third automatic watch I've bought, a Tissot PRS516 Extreme chronograph in red. It has a sporty look, is 43mm in diameter, and features a steel case on a black and red rubber strap reminiscent of a car tire. The sapphire crystal case back is decorated with a car rim motif. Again, it's a Swiss watch, with excellent build quality and finish, though its diameter makes it a bit bulky.

First automatic chronograph in my collection

After several years of continuous wear, this watch of more than 16 years still makes me smile when I wear it with its dial featuring a braided carbon background. The Valjoux 7750 is very present on the wrist with its vibrations and weight, its bracelet taking up the holes of the racing flywheels (flywheel that is found on the oscillating weight) is of excellent quality. A faithful and robust watch.

A slightly heavy but robust watch

This 2010 Tissot PRS 516 automatic has seen it all. A real tank, but it comes at a price: 232 g on the scale.
In any case, I like it and I wear it almost every day at work, not behind a desk but rather in the field and I don't spare it anything, yet it has never let me down.
Why this one?
Because it's a design that I love and I need a Chrono at work.
With its openwork bracelet, it is associated with motorsport, especially with this chronograph model equipped with a Valjoux 7750 that can be seen through the transparent back. Another feature that I love is the syringe-shaped hour and minute hands, very readable and very precise. Otherwise, very practical, well integrated and which I use often, the day and date window is on a black background so fits very well in this black dial. (I hate having a white block for the date on a beautiful black screen!)
Every time I put it on my wrist, I imagine finally having the TAG HEUER CARRERA “PORSCHE” of my dreams.
