A very beautiful classic Stowa pilot's watch, a historic brand of German aviators' equipment during the 2nd World War I like the readable and refined dial without date and without logo. The blued hands on the edges and the small second give it a little touch of refinement. I particularly appreciate its beautifully crafted UNITAS 6498 hand-wound movement, visible through the open back and engraved with the brand name. The robust brushed case and its oversized crown add to the vintage Flieger style.

I was looking to acquire a first mechanical watch for less than 1000 euros (at the time). I followed the advice of a good friend who is a fan of very beautiful watches and who knows me well. I was attracted by its history (the aviator watch), its sober design with significant details (flieger logo, blued hands, studded bracelet). This Flieger type B is my only "pilot type" watch with its very readable double dial and hot-blued hands. The movement is a classic ETA 2824-2 revisited by STOWA (oscillating weight engraved and numbered in silver). The brand does not appear on the dial, you have to turn the watch over to see it. It is light and very comfortable to wear with its pilot type bracelet but lends itself to all types of bracelets. A faithful and well-finished watch like all STOWA watches.
