I've been a Seiko enthusiast for many years, and it's been a long time since I've treated myself to a beautiful watch from our Japanese friends. I own several Divers watches from the brand, but none with a GMT function. So when I saw the SPB381 and 383 released a while ago, I almost succumbed... But since I already own watches with green and black dials, reason won out over passion! Of course, when this limited blue edition came out this year, I fell for it! Indeed, this "Blue Wave" dial is magnificent, and the waves remind us of Hokusai's. The texture and relief of the dial change the color of this blue, going from turquoise to a deep blue, reminiscent of the colors of the ocean. At times, you can't even see these waves, which makes the watch change; it's simply beautiful. As you can see, I am the proud owner of the SPB509. Regarding the technical aspects, I won't dwell on them, but the new bracelet with Slide Adjuster is truly a beautiful innovation and allows for precise adjustment on all wrists. We can appreciate the polished/brushed finish that Seiko has mastered, as well as the beautiful ceramic bezel, which reinforces the watch's quality. I recognize, through this beauty, the strength that Seiko had, which has attracted many watch enthusiasts, to offer watches with an almost unbeatable RQP. Unfortunately, it must be said that prices have skyrocketed lately, hence my Seiko pause, but for the moment, I find this Diver offers a lot, and I'm delighted with my purchase! For those who want a dive watch with a GMT function, I can only recommend it.
