Passionate about swimming, I was looking for a diver to complete my collection and remind me of the maritime world. At first, nothing predestined me to this Seiko SLA037J01 with the same price as an Omega Seamaster… and then, opening my chakras, I came across it, a luxurious reissue of the 62Mas from 1965! Featuring a dial oscillating between blue and gray, these colors evoked for me the aquatic ease of sharks as well as the last color perceived by the human eye during a dive. Its case, cut from a steel called "Ever Brilliant" 1.7 times more resistant to corrosion than Rolex's 904L, has an extremely light gray color, close to white, which integrates perfectly into the whole. The circular brushing on the surface of the horns combined with a Zaratsu polishing (synonymous with GS) on the edges give the case a lot of character. The quality of the finishing of the hands and indexes is also ultra-attractive. Finally, the high-frequency movement is a variation of the Grand Seiko 9S85 (from 2009): it gives a real fluidity to the second hand. With all these assets, this diver hides, in its depths, many treasures worthy of a Grand Seiko!
