The watch being the only true jewel of the man, I have always loved watches. A watch is not just a fashion item, it is also a way to exchange with amateurs, it is a community above all. At the time when I worked in a 3 Michelin stars, it was also a way to be able to exchange with certain customers! In short, let's go back to the Seiko: It is my 2nd beautiful watch after a Tag, but it is especially my 1st automatic. Looking for an automatic diving watch, authentic, with sober colors but at the same time sporty, I started looking at the big watchmakers. Apart from a model from Breitling and 1 model from Rolex, I did not see anything that suited me. Being a bit of a snob, looking at Seiko was not one of my priorities... then in the end I cracked! I came across this model which is a modern reinterpretation of the 1968 Prospex Automatic Diver's. A watch with a history since it is also a limited edition of 6,000 pieces to celebrate Seiko's 140th anniversary. It is inspired by Iriomote, an island rich in varied beauty whose green nature is reflected in the deep green of the dials of this new collection of watches. It is a very stable and popular 6R35 mechanism at Seiko, with components of a quality watch. It also offers a "natural" green rubber strap that allows you to completely change the style of the watch and adopt a slightly more sporty look! The dimensions are harmonious (having a rather thin wrist it is perfect despite a diameter of 42mm). A watch that remains within the standards of a diver without madness but which brings a little extra with this dark green that changes depending on the brightness. The bottom of the case is screen printed with the model number and the words "limited edition". The only downside was the experience I had with Seiko's after-sales service or that of the reseller, I never really knew who was really incompetent among the 2 entities. To conclude, it is therefore a relatively high purchase but one that I absolutely do not regret, it accompanies me on a daily basis, depending on the looks I adapt it, sporty but always classy.
