Having grown up in the 1980s and 1990s, a time of triumphant marketing, the rise of sodas, and fast food, this collaboration between Seiko and Pepsi immediately appealed to me.

As the first Japanese watch in my collection, I must admit that considering the price, it's a great surprise. For less than €400, you get a watch limited to 7,000 pieces, equipped with an automatic movement offering over 40 hours of power reserve, a steel bracelet, and a day-date complication.
And to reinforce this nod to a bygone era, the packaging has been carefully designed: the 38 mm diameter watch comes in a vintage Pepsi can.

With this edition, Seiko has achieved a true success, capable of transporting us to a time when McDonald's still sported its red and yellow colors, and Dragon Ball livened up our afternoons on TF1. A charming return to childhood, full of nostalgia and good vibes!

The elegant and luminous watch from Rolex

The sun has a superpower! Yes, it powers this watch thanks to its Solargraph movement, but above all, it provokes in me and many watch enthusiasts an irrepressible desire to buy a new, fun and colorful watch as soon as it appears.

When TAG Heuer announced the reissue of its 1986 Formula 1, I was immediately captivated. Even more so by this Silverstone green version, limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide. Its white dial combined with a green bezel makes it fresh and dynamic. What better way to enjoy summer?

With its small diameter, it fits perfectly on my 14.2 cm wrist. The steel bracelet gives it a more premium look than the MoonSwatch. The perfect little treat for summer and beyond!

Where to begin, given how different this watch is from others, particularly its sister, the black Black Bay 54. Where the latter emphasizes discretion, robustness, and functionality, the Blue Lagoon takes a completely different direction.

With its Jubilee bracelet, polished bezel, and subtly textured dial, this version presents itself as a timepiece that is at once elegant, luminous, and invigorating. A watch that literally seems to evolve with its surroundings, as its reflections and nuances vary according to the light. Capturing the essence of this timepiece is a challenge: even the most beautiful photos struggle to do it justice.

Acquiring this watch was, for me, one of my best watchmaking choices. From the moment I opened the case, I felt that special emotion, the one that sends shivers down your spine, the one that reminds you why you fell in love with watchmaking in the first place.

Light at the heart of time

Mainly a customer of Swiss watchmakers such as Tudor and Rolex, this didn't stop me from taking the plunge and buying this Swiss diver's watch... from a French brand: the 5303-3 by Serica.

Not being Parisian (only boutique), and although I've always had a positive attitude towards the brand, it was with some trepidation that I ordered online without being able to try the watch on first (fortunately, the 14-day return period reassured me).

Several questions were running through my mind:
* Would the real quality be there?
* Would the watch fit my small 14.2 cm wrist?
* Was the mesh bracelet a good aesthetic choice?

Once I received the watch and placed it on my wrist... the magic happened immediately.
A "small" 39 mm, perfectly suited to slim wrists. The ceramic/steel bezel, in a superb sea green shade, is simply splendid, and its click is a true delight to the ears. The dial, meanwhile, appears black at first glance, but reveals a subtle and deep midnight blue under certain lights. It's discreet and truly successful.
And the mesh bracelet? I was skeptical, and that's one of the reasons I hesitated to take the plunge. But once I had the watch in my hands, all my doubts vanished. The diver's case/link bracelet combo works wonderfully. It reinforces the piece's uniqueness and clearly sets it apart from other divers on the market.
The only small point that could be improved, in my opinion, is the bracelet attachment, which isn't easy.

Finally, the addition of this watch to my collection was a wonderful discovery, not to say a revelation.

This beautiful Rolex is an inheritance from my father who is no longer of this world, he leaves me as a prize a magnificent Rolex which I think is timeless. These indexes in Roman numerals painted in black are beautiful, the tritium has yellowed in the most beautiful way. These black hands stand out well from the white dial which has not changed color through the plexiglass. I love its fluted bezel, its jubilee bracelet and its small case (36 mm in diameter) an excellent caliber 3035 with a quick date window under its cyclops.

The DateJust is, in my opinion, the jewel of my manufacture collection. It sits among my other watches. It fell from the sky. One day, I received a call from my brother who had accompanied his friend to the airport. It was the beginning of the Ukraine/Russia War. He had lost a lot of money on cryptocurrencies. And to bail himself out, he wanted to sell his Datejust 2021 and a Seamaster straight from Korea. He offered them to me and the decision was quick (5 minutes flat). On a whim, I decided to take the Rolex without thinking too much. And, I must tell you that I do not regret it. Its configuration is complete: fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet. As for the case, it is the historic 36mm size. I love the comfort this watch provides. I think it is the watch of my life.

The Jewel in the Crown

First watch purchased at a Rolex boutique (Place Vendôme), after only a one-month wait (in 2025). The salesperson certainly heard and appreciated my shared passion for watches, prompting that famous "call" unexpectedly and very quickly.

I owned the 41mm DateJust II with a fluted bezel, but I deemed it too big for my 17cm wrist; it no longer fit the image of a classic, dressy watch that I attribute to this model.

So, during a visit to their store to have a fixed link removed from my Explo II, I took the opportunity to try on the 36mm DJ. Naturally, I put myself on my wish list, without the fluted bezel, on the advice of the salesperson, who told me that this very/too popular version would be very long.

This watch is now in my collection, and I find it simply perfect. I won't rewrite the article here about this timepiece, owned by a significant number of Dialicious readers; the photos speak for themselves.

I love this configuration with the silver dial, the smooth bezel, and the Jubilee bracelet; the only bracelet I was missing to complete the iterations offered by the brand with the crown (after the brushed Oyster of my Explo II and the polished-brushed Oyster of my Yacht Master).

The only negative aspect is the brand's price increases, which, today, in 2025, make it a very expensive model for a three-hand watch with a date (€8,000). It's still steel, even if it's 904.

I wear it during the week, at the office, with a suit. It will be passed down to one of my children; we often think of passing it on with this kind of timeless model.



The classic spirit of Rolex

Today I just bought this watch. I went to my AD to see if the Explorer 2 Polar for which I am on the waiting list would, by chance, have arrived. The watch still not being there, I asked the question to know which Rolex would be available immediately. I specified that I only wanted 41mm and especially not two-tone. The saleswoman tricked me by presenting me this model in 36mm and two-tone (the two conditions that I absolutely did not want) knowing that the effect of this model would not leave me indifferent. Bet won, I went home with this watch, which is the smallest in my collection, without thinking more than 5 minutes. I do not regret anything, on the contrary I am completely hypnotized by this palm dial

Love at first sight

I present to you one of the models I have always dreamed of. Very versatile, as chic on leather as sporty on its jubilee. It is a 1987 full stock model, in 10/10 condition. Very happy to have come across this gem, after hesitating for years to take the plunge. It is still waterproof to the same bars as at the time and varies between -4/+4sc per day.
