La Ralf Tech WRX Hybrid est une montre que j’aime parce qu’elle va droit au but. Dès qu’on la regarde, on comprend qu’elle n’a pas été pensée pour séduire par la nuance - loin de là -, mais pour inspirer une confiance brute par sa présence. Son grand boîtier de 47,5 mm - hors protège couronne ! -, son étanchéité à 500 mètres, sa lunette unidirectionnelle, sa construction en acier et son dessin très lisible lui donnent immédiatement une allure d’outil assumé, proche du bestial. Pour le coup, elle a été développée dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec le Commando Hubert, unité des Forces spéciales de la Marine nationale française, et cela se sent dans son identité : rien ici ne paraît décoratif, ni pour le tourisme ;-)

Dans ma collection, où cohabitent des montres très accessibles et d’autres beaucoup plus raffinées, ce type de pièce peut paraître décalé, mais elle me rappelle que l’horlogerie n’est pas seulement une affaire de finitions, de prestige ou de sophistication théorique.
