En préambule, les premières versions de l’Hemispheres sont sorties en 2008 sous le nom de « Kalpa Hemispheres ». Le nom « Tonda » existait déjà depuis 2006 avec la montre trois aiguilles, date « Kalpa Tonda ». Ce n’est que plus tard (vers 2011) que « Kalpa » et « Tonda » se retrouvent divisées en deux collections. Fort logiquement, les montres à boitier rond se nommeront « Tonda » qui signifie « rond » en italien.
4 versions verront le jour. Trois en acier avec des cadrans nommés Silver, Graphite et Blu Metal. Ainsi qu’une en or rose avec un cadran nommé Havane.
La seconde version (celle que je vous présente ici) est sortie en 2015. Cette version s’appelle donc Tonda Hemispheres.
Beaucoup de variantes vont sortir dans des boitiers en acier, or blanc et or rose, et avec différents cadrans (noir, blanc grené, ouvert ou semi-ouvert avec des côtes de Genève sur la platine…).
Le modèle que je vous présente aujourd’hui est la Tonda Hemispheres Blanc grené en or rose (deuxième version) référence : PFC231-1002400-HA1241

Le mouvement :
Ces deux versions sont équipées du même mouvement : le calibre PF337.
Le calibre PF337 est un mouvement modulaire basé sur le PF331 dont le module a été développé par Agenhor sous la référence AGH-3502.
Ce calibre double fuseau horaire permet le réglage de deux horaires à la minute près. La couronne à 2h permet le réglage de l’heure de référence. La couronne à 3h entraine les deux jeux d’aiguilles.
On retrouve aussi la date, deux indicateurs jour nuit et la petite seconde de l’heure locale.
Ce calibre (avec l’ajout d’une date rétrograde) est aussi présent dans la Toric Hemispheres, qui a remporté le grand prix d’horlogerie en 2017.

Le boitier :
Le boitier est en 3 parties. La lunette est posée sur une carrure plus droite que la première version et le fond de boite est maintenu en place par 6 vis. Les cornes goutte d'eau démarrent sous la lunette pour se terminer quelques millimètres sous le fond de boite.
Les dimensions sont de 42mm de diamètre, 11.15mm d’épaisseur et 49mm de corne à corne.

Cadran et aiguilles de la deuxième version :
On retrouve sur cette version un cadran grené à la main. Il y a un grain légèrement plus gros sur le pourtour du cadran qui accueille des index appliqués remplis au superluminova. Le fait qu’il y ait uniquement des index bâtons accentue le côté décentré des aiguilles de l’heure locale. Les aiguilles delta de l’heure locale sont aussi plus fines et légèrement plus longues que sur la précédente version. Les deux ouvertures du guichet de date du cadran et de la platine sont désaxées.

Place aux émotions : 
Cette montre est une véritable immersion dans l'univers si particulier de Michel Parmigiani. Géométrie, nombre d'or et finitions main.
L’association or rose/cadran grené « crème » me touche tout particulièrement. Je trouve cette alliance douce, chaleureuse et raffinée. Le confort exceptionnel pourrait, à lui seul, être le critère d'achat.
Une montre qui ne peut laisser indifférent.

Four versions were released: three in steel with dials named Silver, Graphite, and Blu Metal, and one in rose gold with a dial named Havana.

The second version (the one I'm presenting here) was released in 2015. This version is called Tonda Hemispheres.

Many variations will be released in steel, white gold, and rose gold cases, and with different dials (black, grained white, open or semi-open with Côtes de Genève on the mainplate, etc.).
The model I'm presenting today is the Tonda Hemispheres Grained White in rose gold (second version), reference: PFC231-1002400-HA1241.

The movement:
Both versions are equipped with the same movement: the PF337 caliber.

The PF337 caliber is a modular movement based on the PF331, whose module was developed by Agenhor under reference AGH-3502.

This dual time zone caliber allows for the setting of two time zones to the minute. The crown at 2 o'clock allows for setting the reference time. The crown at 3 o'clock drives both sets of hands.

It also features the date, two day/night indicators, and a small seconds subdial for local time.

This caliber (with the addition of a retrograde date) is also featured in the Toric Hemispheres, which won the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie in 2017.

The case:
The case is in three parts. The bezel is mounted on a straighter case middle than the first version, and the case back is secured by six screws. The teardrop lugs begin below the bezel and end a few millimeters below the case back.

The dimensions are 42mm in diameter, 11.15mm thick, and 49mm lug to lug.

Dial and hands of the second version:
This version features a hand-grained dial. There is a slightly larger grain around the edge of the dial, which houses applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova. The fact that there are only baton markers accentuates the off-center position of the local time hands. The delta hands for local time are also thinner and slightly longer than on the previous version. The two date window openings on the dial and the mainplate are offset.

Time for emotions: This watch is a true immersion into the unique world of Michel Parmigiani. Geometry, the golden ratio, and hand-finished details.
The combination of rose gold and a cream-colored grained dial particularly appeals to me. I find this pairing soft, warm, and refined. The exceptional comfort alone could be a deciding factor. A watch that cannot fail to impress.
