I love iconic watches, and it was obvious that the first truly beautiful watch in my collection had to be this one.

Sometimes I don't wear it for long periods, but it always finds its way back to my wrist.

It's the ultimate Barbie, sometimes annoying, sometimes perfect. It's been on my wrist for most of the last 12 years, and there's no doubt that despite the increasing quality of my collection, it will continue to play an important role in the years to come.

The iconic watch of my 30s

This watch symbolizes my discovery of the micro-brand world, which I discovered thanks to a friend's Serica.

I really love the red line that illuminates the dial, the brand name as a secret signature, and the black minute track on the white dial with its distinctive bezel that allows it to compete with many dive watches.

The Omega codes are obvious; it also reminds me of the old TAG Heuer Formula 1.

After trying the watch on every possible strap, the Serica mesh has become the benchmark.

It's a watch I can go a few months without wearing, but I'll always end up at 9 a.m. in front of the bank, delighted to find it there.

This is my favorite watch, I'm totally biased. But after nearly 10 years on my wrist, it has never disappointed me. An icon among watchmaking icons, with a robust, high-quality movement and a superb design, it's no wonder it's so popular.

It's the watch I wear most often and the one I would keep, even if I only had one. It works perfectly, has ample water resistance for everyday use, and is sufficiently robust.

I enjoy wearing it at the office, in the cockpit, on the saddle, or even at rallies where I'm a timekeeper on weekends...

A solid and versatile pleasure watch, with a balanced appearance... I really have nothing to complain about.

The History of the Watch:

Much has been said about the Speedmaster: it was originally designed as a motor racing chronograph (innovative compared to competition, with its external tachymeter scale), but it was in more challenging environments that it shone, going so far as to make history.

The personal choice of certain American astronauts, it was eventually chosen by NASA to equip the wrists of astronauts in space and on the Moon.

This model and its modern variations have become a staple in space. They have equipped and continue to equip numerous space agencies and even the private company that commercializes space travel.

But the Speedmaster has been worn by many other notable figures. Its robustness made it the first watch to reach the True North Pole by land and the watch of the Solar Impulse mission.

Universe Watch

The Speedmaster needs no introduction. I wear this watch every day and for all events. Casual or strict, its style always looks good. Its 42 mm size is a good size for a small man's wrist. Obviously, the sapphire crystal prevents scratches and the opening at the back allows you to enjoy the Caliber 1863.
I highly recommend it because beyond being a timeless piece, this watch is not associated with "show off" and can be worn in any weather...

This version 35705000 driven by the Omega 1861 caliber is the second watch in my collection acquired in 2011 just after my sub.

After all these years, still the same intense pleasure to wind it up to wake it up.

Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

After having thought carefully about acquiring a speedmaster in my collection, I decided to buy it new (2023) and in sapphire in order to admire the movement. 
I think that for all collectors, a speedmaster is essential. Concerning all Omega models, I bought it for its history, its chronograph, its refinement. 

Recently, I changed its bracelet for an Ostrich bracelet (gold) and I rediscover it. There is no denying that the leather bracelets suit it perfectly and allow you to change your style.
