After all these years, still the same intense pleasure to wind it up to wake it up.

Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

This is my favorite watch, I'm totally biased. But after nearly 10 years on my wrist, it has never disappointed me. An icon among watchmaking icons, with a robust, high-quality movement and a superb design, it's no wonder it's so popular.

It's the watch I wear most often and the one I would keep, even if I only had one. It works perfectly, has ample water resistance for everyday use, and is sufficiently robust.

I enjoy wearing it at the office, in the cockpit, on the saddle, or even at rallies where I'm a timekeeper on weekends...

A solid and versatile pleasure watch, with a balanced appearance... I really have nothing to complain about.

Bonus: When you love the Speedmaster, you also have the Moonswatches, to have fun with more daring colors.

The History of the Watch:

Much has been said about the Speedmaster: it was originally designed as a motor racing chronograph (innovative compared to competition, with its external tachymeter scale), but it was in more challenging environments that it shone, going so far as to make history.

The personal choice of certain American astronauts, it was eventually chosen by NASA to equip the wrists of astronauts in space and on the Moon.

This model and its modern variations have become a staple in space. They have equipped and continue to equip numerous space agencies and even the private company that commercializes space travel.

But the Speedmaster has been worn by many other notable figures. Its robustness made it the first watch to reach the True North Pole by land and the watch of the Solar Impulse mission.

Universe Watch

The Speedmaster needs no introduction. I wear this watch every day and for all events. Casual or strict, its style always looks good. Its 42 mm size is a good size for a small man's wrist. Obviously, the sapphire crystal prevents scratches and the opening at the back allows you to enjoy the Caliber 1863.
I highly recommend it because beyond being a timeless piece, this watch is not associated with "show off" and can be worn in any weather...

In all weathers!

After having thought carefully about acquiring a speedmaster in my collection, I decided to buy it new (2023) and in sapphire in order to admire the movement. 
I think that for all collectors, a speedmaster is essential. Concerning all Omega models, I bought it for its history, its chronograph, its refinement. 

Recently, I changed its bracelet for an Ostrich bracelet (gold) and I rediscover it. There is no denying that the leather bracelets suit it perfectly and allow you to change your style. 


Speedmaster 3861

When I first went to my now regular AD, it was to see this speed (and then several others later...).
It caught my eye, and I only hesitated for 24 hours to come back and buy it...
Its dial, announced as 42mm, is not that big of a 42, due to its asymmetry, in fact, for those who, like me, have a child's wrist, this watch is more like a 39.
Its reputation is well established, it doesn't have much left to prove, but I especially appreciated its bracelet, its simple dial and its perfect lines.
For my part, I opted for the sapphire crystal, the case back allows us to see the caliber 3861 nestled inside.
For any good collector, it is a must!
