A watch that crosses (space and) time
The 1821 model is extraordinary because it is almost new (unfortunately discontinued for 2 years) and almost identical in construction to the original. Being able in 2019 (as was my case) to buy a new watch as it was in store in the 1970s is like a journey through time. For me the Speedmaster is the "no nonsense" watch par excellence, a perfect design, form at the service of function. A perfectly designed measuring instrument. The ideal balance between elegance and utilitarianism. What is particularly aesthetically successful is the clear, but also very discreet, presence of the small chronograph dials which makes this chronograph watch almost a simple three-hander.
