The first

This is the first "real" watch in my collection. I received it from my parents to celebrate my 18th birthday. This watch has been with me assiduously for 20 years; I wore it every day during my studies and then at work. It was in 2022 that I fell in love with watches, and this timepiece had to share my wrist with new watches, this time automatic. I obviously love my Longines; we share countless memories in France and abroad. I had it on a light brown leather strap at first and requested a steel bracelet a few years later for another birthday. Frankly, it's incredibly comfortable (5 links), and its finesse is a plus. The butterfly buckle is beautifully finished with the brand logo engraved. It cost €250; When you see Oyster bracelets at €1,200 today, it's a bit of a surprise. It's a quartz watch, equipped with a chronograph that I rarely use. I like its blued hands, its original rectangular case, and its silver dial, which gives it a good time reading. This watch is of high quality, both in terms of its finish and its durable materials. It had its first service at the end of 2021; it was still running perfectly, but its shine/gloss needed attention. Its time spent in the Swiss workshop allowed for a perfect polish; it's like new. Its mirror-like polish makes it desirable (in my eyes), even though it's the least expensive watch in my collection. Also, it's my only quartz watch, so I can choose it on mornings when I have to rush and don't have time to wind and set one of the others, which is necessarily mechanical.
