Hegid Expedition Owner Review : Different, subtle and astute

The HEGID concept is based on the idea of a capsule watch that, by default, has the characteristics of a sports watch (100m water resistance, screw-down crown, etc.) and is compatible with several case and strap models. The quality is evident; they work with the best French artisans (95% within a 10km radius in the Doubs region). This is a watch for creative people, especially this limited edition engraved series of 30 pieces. For those who prefer ready-made watches, there are other superb options elsewhere. New case and strap designs are released every year, making it possible to create new combinations without having to buy a whole new watch. HEGID is very open to customization, even special orders. I appreciate being able to mix and match the frames as I please: sporty chic during the day, neo-vintage in the evening, or a bit more rugged depending on my mood, the event, and my style of the day. I've owned the Black Expedition Series for less than a year, but I've also had the Inaugural Series for almost three years. They exude quality and robustness, with features like the DLC treatment on the Vision frame. Finally, changing the combination takes just a moment, and I've even taken two frames with me in the morning to adapt to two different events during the day. Plus, I like the micro-brand aspect; it has strong convictions, doesn't compromise its principles, and is also French, strongly prioritizing local craftsmanship.
