Election Owner Review : Stylish, seductive and confidential

ELECTION is a brand that I wanted to have one day in my collection. It produced quality pieces with sometimes "in-house" movements. It was particularly renowned at the beginning of the 20th century for its pocket watches, and in the 50s with its "Chronometer" and "Grand Prix" ranges. The one I have is an Election Chronometer that I recently found in a flea market. It is a model from the 50s called "Jumbo" (37 mm, quite rare for the time). I like the shape of its handles, the semi-integrated crown, and its still very precise movement; But above all, I love its dial which has taken on a superb gray patina with a marbled brown-red center with the most beautiful effect. And since the brand blends in with the marbling of the patina, the seller thought it was a "no name", and sold it to me at a ridiculous price. Which goes to show that patience is a great virtue for a collector. Chance (and luck too) does the rest.
