This is a brand I wasn't familiar with. Cortebert is a former Swiss watch manufacturer, founded in 1790 and now defunct. During the 20th century, it supplied its own calibers to other brands such as Rolex, Panerai, and IWC. The quartz crisis spelled the end for the brand, which slowed its activity until production ceased following its integration into Omega. The brand notably had a significant contract with the Turkish railway company between 1930 and 1950, hence the "TCDD" series (Turkish Railways). It's a model that I find aesthetically beautiful, reliable, and very comfortable to wear. It's not a watch that we both wear, but rather a piece of history that I'm happy to have in my collection.
