Here is a small Seiko reference 7009, I inherited it from my uncle who is unfortunately no longer with us, so I dedicate this review to him, he who was also a fan of Seiko just like me, and this watch will remind me of the good times spent with him, this Seiko was his first who bought it new in the 80s, automatic caliber reference 7009-876A day date with a tonneau case typical of his years, I had the case back engraved in his memory, don't worry uncle it is in good hands. Rest in peace!

Here is the latest one which is a Seiko Alpinist the latest Prospex model reissue of the famous and much coveted Sarb017, with its green sunray dial and its gilt indexes!
My model came out with the famous cyclops on the date which spoils a little this sublime dial, without further ado I modified all that and with a little trick I removed all that to give Caesar what is Caesar's! 😉
Even if the date is white it does not shock at all, the watch is now to my taste with the crazy charm of this so emblematic model. You will see in the photos before and after the removal of the cyclops, good reading thank you.

Seiko alpinist prospex

Here is one of my vintage, a so-called jumbo Lip with a gold-plated case in the art deco style from the 50s I think with the famous R25, size 38 mm, good size for the time and small seconds, it has been restored, revised and re-plated by a watchmaker friend in Belgium, it is like new with its white dial which has suffered the traces of time with a lunar effect. A marvel and a piece of French watchmaking history on my wrist.

Presented in 1974 by Citizen, a prototype that was never marketed at the time, 
The first marketed model was released in 1976. 
In 2020 Citizen re-released this model in commemoration on the occasion of the anniversary of its marketing in Italy (which was at the time the first country to sell eco-drive models in Europe). 
It is a limited edition of 750 copies.

A marvel with its octagonal bezel in line with the style of that time!
I would add a dedication to Super Yo-yo, he will be recognized for his pipes because although it is in very good aesthetic condition, the bitch was a little capricious to start again!

Citizen Tsuyosa

I present to you my Citizen Ice Blue NJ0151-88M that I love, it's my only watch that is not a diver or a chronograph... the model that I present was for a long time only available on the Japanese market but now it is on sale in France, it is an automatic model of 40mm in diameter and 5 ATM... it has a superb color that varies in the light and a pretty integrated bracelet of 3 branches, in short a watch that I like and I find that the Japanese manufacturer Citizen is not recognized in France at its true value while in the USA this manufacturer of the rising sun is a hit... Citizen has iconic models like the Aqualand JP2000 (the big blue 1988) the promaster NY0040 and the Chalenge Diver Futjisubo titanium which has an incredible history hence the name (Bernacle in French) that I also have it is the rival of the SPB143 62 MAS from Seiko and this Tsuyosa Ice Blue (strength) in Japanese is a real hit…

Citizen is making a strong comeback this year in the watchmaking world, this tsuyosa also means STRENGTH in Japanese! This watch is available in several colors: blue, green, black and yellow for France. Other variations are planned for the future. Today I present to you the yellow model, a model that sold very well to the point that I had to put myself on a waiting list and after 4 months I was finally able to receive it! The watch is well built with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 11.7mm, the crown is at 4 o'clock, the glass is sapphire, very good for this price range. The movement comes from Myota, a house owned by Citizen, it is the caliber 8210, 21 jewels with a power reserve of 40 hours, it is given for +- 20 seconds per day. The movement echoes the dial, it is gilded with its Citizen Japan engraved balance wheel, it is visible, which is a plus for me but it also has a disadvantage for the waterproofness and as the crown is not screwed the watch is given for 5 atm too bad! the yellow dial is a mixture of matte and sunray because it appears matte at first glance but in strong light it becomes a little sunray. The stick-type indexes have a luminescent layer that shines only by its name! indeed it is very very light! The glass has a cyclops for a "magnifying glass effect" of the date, some will like it or not. the integrated "president" type bracelet brushed at the ends and polished in the center adds a chic side to this watch. Now let's talk about the price, for less than 300e Citizen offers you a refreshing watch with these different colors, pretty, summery, well finished and automatic with a sapphire crystal! Any flaws? yes of course: A water resistance of 5 ATM while the Tissot prx is at 10 ATM, a crown at 4 o'clock which is just a disaster for setting the time for someone with "man's" fingers and no nails! I also noticed for setting the date a problem with the caliber 8210, in fact no stop second and forced to make a whole revolution of the hands for the date because if I try to go back, the second hand does not like it at all and starts to go back what am I saying to jump 5 seconds back! I did not insist suddenly. The "lume" is also ridiculous compared to a diver! apart from these few small inconveniences it is a watch that I recommend and which will give a lot of pleasure to its owner.

Citizen Tsuyosa, a summer watch?

This citizen tsuyosa is just incredible 😍! At first I wanted to buy a Tissot PRX quartz because I liked its design. I went to a jewelry store and tried it on but I found it too big for my wrist. I waited and citizen released the tsuyosa shortly after. I went to try it on and I fell in love with it. Once I had the money I bought it on the ocarat website for around €260 I think. This watch is my first really beautiful automatic watch. It is also the one I wear the most and the one I enjoy wearing the most. It can be worn in all situations, whether with a shirt for a chic evening or with a t-shirt for sports. 

Its jubilee-style bracelets are very comfortable and very beautiful. The polishing and chamfers of the case are of very good quality. It has a sapphire crystal with a cyclops. It has the stop second and is equipped with a miyota 8210 movement that can be seen from the glass case back. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is not very precise but you can always have it adjusted if it bothers you.

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and I recommend this watch to any enthusiast or beginner. Due to its very good value for money, I think that this watch can suit both beginners in watchmaking and seasoned collectors. Do not hesitate to buy it, you will not be disappointed! ⌚⌚⌚


The best watch for less than 300€

This is my 33rd birthday watch, a rather biased gift. The watch is as pleasant to wear as it is to look at. The finishes are really very beautiful and what can I say about this yellow dial. The indexes, hands, dates, bracelet, everything is perfectly proportioned. The transparent back reveals the movement. The only downside is probably the clasp, a little tinny but effective.

Citizen Tsuyosa Jaune

I already have a Tsuyosa, which has a yellow dial. As a gold lover, I opted for this model which is reminiscent of the Daytona Jhon Mayer. 
This piece is magnificent, it is part of my collection and it sits proudly next to the Zenith, Rolex or Omega. 
This green sunray dial is just magnificent and I am in heaven when I wear it. 
The advantage with this model is that it is not widespread and therefore we never come across one which makes it an almost unique model.
