Cartier Tank Must Solarbeat Owner Review : Classic, historical and beautiful

"I don't wear a Tank to tell the time. In fact, I never wind it. I wear a Tank because it's the watch to wear."... A true classic, its design dating back to 1917—I won't bore you with a century of history. But it's been seen on the wrists of many, and not just any people... Andy Warhol, of course, Alain Delon, Lady Di, Muhammad Ali (the GOAT), and me too... I haven't often felt such an urgent need to buy a watch as when the Solar Beat came out. Everything about it resonated with me: the history, the technology, the ethics (vegan strap), the timeless look, and on top of that, for 3,000 CHF, not even a few years ago, nothing was holding me back. However, the apple peel strap (yes, it's a vegan strap...) was quickly replaced because I wore it a lot and even went jogging with it... I haven't done that since. Then it broke down after more than two years, even though the battery is supposed to last 16 years according to Cartier. Cartier had given me a six-year warranty, I think, and they didn't hesitate to repair it. However, they did replace the movement... Yes, for me it's not the same watch anymore; the case back was also changed. I expressed my surprise and am waiting to hear back from them. But I must say I appreciate how they treat their customers, unlike some other brands. So, there you have it, I don't regret my purchase; the Tank is essential to my collection.
