As soon as it came out, this special edition had really caught my eye with its unique appearance, far from the somewhat flashy appearance of the standard 300M. On the other hand, the disproportionate additional cost had really cooled me down and put me off the model... until I tried it. And there, thanks to the magic of titanium in particular, it was the one! The royal comfort and the multitude of small details make the difference and bring a real renewal to the range. In use, it is my main watch, I like its unique personality, all discretion, almost stealthy, perfectly in line with the job of spy! On this subject, the connection with 007 is nice but is fortunately secondary and is forgotten, we are not dealing with a marketing goodie but a well-thought-out and accomplished product. The only downside I find with the piece is its readability which can be at fault depending on the conditions. The skeleton hands sometimes get lost in the dial, the domed glass lacks anti-reflective coating and the nighttime luminosity is initially very pretty but lacks sparkle and, above all, duration.

New blood

The inspirations of this Baltic chrono are obvious but it is so well done! Case, dial, glass, bezel, pushers… everything is perfectly proportioned and unfailingly hits the mark when you are fond of old muscular cars, with hints of rubber and burnt oil. In addition to the design, the watch is technically impeccable, precise and comfortable to handle. It can accommodate many leather straps but its flatlink suits it so well and plays so pleasantly with the light that it is difficult not to leave it in place. Just one small flaw, this strap likes hair a little too much; here the homage to old watches is perhaps pushed a little too far…

Tricompax Reverse Panda

A rather modern watch in reality but the old Tissot logo and some attributes like the hands give it an undeniable vintage touch. The whole is very wise, with a minimalist base but the play of light on the many polished elements as well as the slightly pearly/pearl dial bring a little life and relief to the piece. The watch goes with many bracelets and has the ability to play the chameleon, as comfortable in a starred restaurant as in the local dive. The domed sapphire crystal accentuates this beautiful versatility thanks to its robustness and its ease of slipping under all sleeves. A timepiece that modestly but properly does the job in almost all situations… almost only because of the weak water resistance unfortunately limited to 3 ATM. Not prohibitive for this style of watch but still a little disappointing.

Fake vintage

Turini. Whether you're a cashier or a biker, this is an evocative name, an emblematic passage of the Monte-Carlo and a meeting place for bikers from all over Europe. Even if you don't have to buy into the slightly clumsy storytelling of MM. Carzo & Lieutier, you can't deny their sincerity. These Nice natives have a taste for stylish mechanics and the desire to transcribe their motorcycle world in their small production of watches.
Without being revolutionary, the result with this Turini is original and has character, especially with its brushed/satin-finished case in the shape of a circlip. The watch is quite small (less than 37 mm) but has a real presence on the wrist with its flat and stretched lugs, this questionable ergonomics is not the strong point but fully contributes to the personality of the piece. It is powered by a modest but effective Ronda quartz, because it is always practical to have one or two quartz in the collection...

Viroli

I have always admired the accuracy of the Type B design. However, I was not necessarily looking for a legitimate historical brand, not feeling the particular need to feel like a Luftwaffe pilot.
When I discovered the very particular finish of the case of this one, I fell for it. The gunmetal color microblasted standing out from the crowd, the generous crown, the number engraved on the side, these are the small details that made the difference with a lambda flieger. In addition, the quality of manufacture, the reassuring ETA 2824 and the magnificent bracelet are surprising given the very reasonable price.
The date window is a little out of place but remains discreet, and in any case it is not a purist's watch. The rest of the dial is distinguished by its exceptional readability, thank you to the original design. Readability that does not weaken in the dark as the hands are stuffed with Super-LumiNova, a real beacon. This cleanliness and shine clash with the aged case, not super coherent but it gives a style.
The low thickness of 11.8 mm makes it easy to slip the watch under a shirt sleeve (or bomber jacket). On the other hand, the 44 mm diameter, the 52 mm lug to lug length and the very flat profile are enough to put the chicken wrist team in PLS. To think that it also existed in 47 mm...

Aviator Steampunk

Pure Seiko, with qualities and defects characteristic of the brand.
The points that make you wince? The hardlex glass when you would like a sapphire, the movement of a very relative precision, the bracelet that gently smells of junk, without forgetting the misaligned bezel…
But hey, all this must be put into perspective with the advantages offered for the price, in particular incredible comfort for a watch of this size, it is also there that the bracelet takes its revenge by perfectly hugging the wrist, smoothly. The reduced lug-to-lug distance and the cushion case make it my most pleasant big watch to wear, only the significant weight is a handicap in this respect. The movement also has its say, not very refined but inspiring total confidence, a good tractor as they say. The sparkling luminescence is also there, as on any good Diver's of the brand.
In the end, one of my favorite watches… while I did not like the model too much before! The softness of the colours of this limited edition “Blue Lagoon” won me over, the intrinsic qualities of the watch finished convincing me.

With this Baltic, you will have the perfect mix of what was best in the 60s-70s with a modern hand-wound mechanical heart.

We return the major inspiration of the Univesal Genève compax "Nina Rindt" of the 60s, but also a bit of Daytona P-Newman or Speedmaster with this flared bezel and its flat links bracelet. Really a tasty mix brought up to date with a neo-retro sauce without losing the identity of Baltic

A pure beauty with a vanilla cream dial with a Swiss mechanical heart from Sellita in a manual version that works like a charm.

The detail that kills even if I am not particularly a car fan, is the number 04 of the limited series engraved on the back of the case in large like a number written on the door of a racing car, it is original and very aesthetic had to think of it

The only downside is the water resistance of only 5 ATM, but for a chrono it is not very serious and if we look closely this Baltic has exactly the same characteristics as for the Speedmaster 57 of Omega with a few details near

A tasty mix of the 60s and 70s

Wanting to own a chrono watch with a white dial and black sub-dials, I fell in love with this Baltic and its mouse-click options. And here I am, the owner of a number on this first series.
My impressions? Small diameter, rather precise movement, very nice finishes and what's more, it has a face!
I love it!

Neo-vintage sports car

This Baltic caught my eye at first glance.

It is reminiscent of some of the most iconic watches we have ever seen.

I love its vintage look and its flat link bracelet, which is as beautiful as it is comfortable. The choice of manual movement allows it to remain very thin and I don't mind the winding at all. On the contrary, it allows me to listen to its heart beating and I must say that it has a sweet sound.
I am simply a fan!

Baltic Tricompax Panda

As usual, Baltic happily revisits the stylistic codes of watches from the 50s to the 70s. The inspiration from Rolex, Universal, Heuer chronographs, etc. from the 60s is evident here and the overall execution - as well as the attention to detail - will delight neo-vintage enthusiasts. A special mention to the grained finish of the dial and that of the bezel.
