Let's start with a general description of the watch:
A reissue of the 53.00.16 from the 1970s, this model retains the lines of its iconic predecessor. It features a 39mm dial, 48mm elongated lugs, and a breathtaking steel bracelet.

The bracelet is incredibly comfortable to wear. Lightweight and tapering towards the back, it gives it a particularly distinguished look in my opinion.

The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, giving it a pleasing vintage effect. Legibility is optimal day and night, with a special mention for the "shovel" seconds hand, which allows for ultra-precise reading.

The 120-click bezel is precise and firm, and the bezel lock is very easy to use.

The Sellita SW200-1 caliber is pleasant to use and offers an accuracy of +7 seconds per day.

In short, you'll have gathered that I'm completely charmed and I can't wait to introduce her to scuba diving.

Right on target

Hello to all the watch enthusiasts! This watch is truly unique; I love it and hate it at the same time. It spent four months in its box without me missing it in the slightest, and now, having taken it out again, I adore it.

Technically, it's nothing special; you can tell it was the brand's early days! The solar quartz movement doesn't last long, less than a G-Shock Bluetooth, etc., even though it's just a simple two-hand watch.

The case is plastic (upcycled or not, it's plastic), and the dial is rather bland... BUT:

- It's the G7 watch, and therefore a small French symbol in its own way.
- The case is ultra-light.
- The two hands... well, they make you see time differently. You're no longer measuring to the second on the watch, but to the minute, and I find that this has an impact on the flow of the day, and you take your time more.

- The straps are nice and age well.

In summary, it's not the watch of the year, but I still get some pleasure from wearing it from time to time.

Having a rather understated collection, I wanted a timepiece that stood out a bit.

So I set out to find a gold watch (or at least a gilded one, given the price). I couldn't find anything I liked... until I stumbled upon this model almost by chance! And just like that, my Christmas list was updated!

I would summarize it like this:

- Orient, a brand I love, with a certain history and offering quality watches.

- Tri Star "gold": a blend of simplicity and controlled "eye-catchingness," its 37mm diameter keeps the color from being too flashy.

Everything is well-finished, clean, and comfortable to wear. The 37mm size still looks good on the wrist.

The watch has a subtle "vintage" feel that I quite like.

Because sometimes, getting noticed doesn't hurt.

Like many watch enthusiasts, when you start to really get interested you naturally go for a first automatic model at an affordable price. 

Seiko often came up in the forums, but because I didn't want to be too mainstream I went for Orient (although it belongs to the same group). 

Spending as much time as possible underwater I particularly look at their diver's models... and I come across this one: the Ray 2. 

An orange dial that reminds me of the first diver's watches, 200m waterproof, everything seems perfect. And when you count it... it's even better! Apart from the compressed steel clasp which is not exceptional, this tomato is ultra precise (+2s/d), resists everything, readable day and night (and underwater!). In short, it does more than the job, and I wear it almost daily without being afraid of scratching or damaging it. 

Little extra, on nato strap (goldeneye) or black rubber it radically changes "spirit".

Unbeatable

After watching an astronomical amount of videos about this watch, I still couldn't form an opinion. In fact, some people praise it while others say it should be thrown away!

However, on paper, I really liked this little GMT. Having to travel far from home, I decided to treat myself to it to maintain a connection with France (and my family).

Verdict? I still don't know what to think of this timepiece. It's original; the bezel colors are also (to my knowledge) rare. The play of light, which changes the lower part from rose gold to black, is incredible. The dial is extremely legible. The NH34A movement is precise (+7s/d) and the crown is a pleasure to use.

On the other hand, the lume, although pretty, fades quickly, and the bezel is unidirectional, as if the brand hadn't bothered to make one specifically designed for the GMT. The beautiful bracelet doesn't allow for fine adjustment.

In short, a watch full of great qualities and small flaws, but I love wearing it and admiring it. The connection it allows me to have with my family may be making me lose all objectivity... so what?!

After much hesitation about taking the manufacture model, I took the plunge with the Swiss Sellita movement which can be very easily serviced by any watchmaker. I took the 39 mm model which sits perfectly on my 17.5 mm wrist. It is a very refined watch, it is magnificent.

When yema returned from the ashes following its buyout I became interested again and fell for the 1st and reissue of their superman series and fell for the superman quartz one of the only watches that I own in Quartz by the way because at the beginning their automatic amber movement had had some problems resolved since what is wonderful this watch accompanies me occasionally but I still love it as much

Iconic

First edition of the Superman Heritage 63 in a limited series of 1000 copies released in 2020, this model is equipped with the famous tortoiseshell bracelet also limited to 500 copies out of 1000.

Apart from this famous unique tortoiseshell bracelet, a real gem of the brand (except the rather cheap clasp), this watch is a direct tribute to the 1963 diver and takes up its codes, which gives it a very vintage side with the most beautiful effect. Black lacquered dial, applied and circled indexes, domed sapphire, green lumi, date window also circled, in short a multitude of details that make this model (39 mm) unique with very neat finishes. The photos speak for themselves. A must-have in your collection of divers...

Mra first Yema. a real beautiful diver.... And French too...cock-a-doodle-doo. It houses an ETA movement. (a real tractor). Very nice proportions, perfect for chicken wrists. The bezel block really gives a unique look to the watch. Even if it is not very practical for calculating the cooking of pasta. a beautiful rebirth of Yema

Superman legacy.

Yema Superman Héritage quartz, 39 mm, coral dial...pleasure purchase far from the controversies of color, movement, legitimacy...I found this watch very pretty, preferably with the tropic bracelet. Once on the wrist it is light but with a little lack of comfort due to my bracelet / wrist size ratio! About 310 euros...that's fine!!!👍😁
