This TISSOT PR 526 GL is a bit of an ancestor of the current PRX. This one was born around 1976. It is a rare PR 526 GL version, which was the so-called "luxury" version of the very famous PR 516 GL described as "sport". Here, the movement is a Tissot caliber 2940 (we find almost the same at Omega under the reference 1022) with 21 jewels, 28800 vibrations, stop-seconds, and 42 hours of reserve. There is a quick date change by the crown and, less common, a quick day change by simply moving the hands back 15 minutes for each desired day. The shape of its characteristic case and the integrated bracelet are very "in the wind", but I admit that I too am not immune to this fashion phenomenon and that is one of the reasons for its purchase. The other reason is mainly its degraded green dial which evolves according to the light towards gold, bronze, brown and black. Splendid! And then this hour hand passing below the indexes which seem suspended in the void gives a surprising 3D relief. Its 36 mm format fits very well on my 18 cm wrist. And finally, I got the watch back this week after a major overhaul at my watchmaker, and it is superbly adjusted and very precise. This Tissot therefore has everything to make a collector happy!
