A perfect everyday watch, and I think I'm well placed to attest to that, having owned this beauty for over 20 years.
And as incredible as it may seem, the battery has never been changed since I bought it in the early 2000s. So, when Casio tells you the battery will last 10 years, with any luck, it will last over 20. This watch can tell you the time in over 24 cities around the world, in addition to local time, of course. It also has a phone book and allows you to store up to 30 phone numbers. In addition to the three alarms, in case one isn't enough, it has a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and even a luminescent function.
So, I can assure you that this watch is perfect in every way.

The most perfect and complete of watches

This chronograph, which has all the attributes of a high-end chronograph, incredible finishes, a dial full of details and a genuine leather strap Made in France, not to mention its glassbox-style sapphire crystal. If someone told me that this watch cost 5 times more than its price, it wouldn't surprise me. The caliber, a Seagull ST1901, does the job well and makes the watch cost what it does. A watch that I love and that I would recommend.

Reliable and rather well-made for a price that's still as incredible as ever, a secret that only the Japanese seem to know.
A trendy style, both modern and vintage, reminiscent of those 70s watches with integrated straps, but with that 21st-century twist.
It's beautiful and timeless, like a 60s Piaggio Vespa revisited for 2025.
Nothing is random, and everything is in its right place.

Simple and effective

Like a Leclerc tank, and not just in a figurative sense...
A big watch, wide, thick, and long, that gives an impression of indestructibility. A watch you wear when you go wild boar hunting, and when you have to knock down a load-bearing wall or an armored door with a sledgehammer. It's water-resistant to 180 meters, so even if you have to jump into the water, you can do it without a problem. It can even serve as a weight belt or knuckle duster depending on the situation... And yet, it's so endearing! Once you have it on your wrist, you never want to part with it. I was looking for a sturdy mechanical watch at a low price, and I wasn't disappointed by this Bradner.

A watch designed to invade countries

This reissue of a 1960s watch is, in my opinion, a great success. I find it very elegant, and all this for a small budget.
With a small 34 mm diameter and a very thin thickness, even with its domed acrylic crystal, it has all the hallmarks of a 1960s watch.
It is equipped with a Seagull ST6 mechanical movement, and the feel of the crown when wound is the same as on a watch from that era.
The champagne sunray dial changes with the light, and it's very beautiful.
Even the faux lizard strap is good quality for the price.
In conclusion, if you like vintage watches, this is a good compromise to be able to wear this watch without worrying about its proper functioning.
However, this is another watch my wife often steals!

A vintage inspiration that has stood the test of time

Just as some people would like to capture all the Pokémon, I would like to capture all these vintage-style Casios.
I see them as stylish treats with lots of different flavors, each one as delicious as the next.
The Casio A100WE looks like it came straight from the 80s with its design of a Renault 18 Turbo on-board computer or a BMW 528i E28 Check Control. It gives me the impression of being in the Mitterrand era and a lot of nostalgia for the R21 txi and R25 V6 turbo.

This is a Seiko Presage that I really liked when I bought it, and which I still do, of course. Its open heart, its intense black dial that beautifully highlights the hands and indexes, and the very well-crafted case shape.
This watch is very versatile: it offers a water resistance of 10 bar, or 100M. You can therefore wear this watch no matter your activity. Whether you're dressed up in a shirt, it's perfect, or whether you're wearing more sporty, casual attire, it's also suitable. If you decide to take an impromptu swim while passing by the sea, you can do it too. At one point, this was the watch I wore the most, and I've put it through its paces, from swimming to the most outlandish activities, as the marks on the case attest. And yet, it still functions perfectly with reasonable drift.
In conclusion, if you were to only own one watch, a Seiko would be more than enough.

The ultimate everyday watch

Since the release of the Limited Edition Chronograph with Enamel dial, black Arabic numerals with the red "12" at noon, in 2017, paying homage to the first wristwatch from Seikosha (the name of the manufacturer at the time), the Laurel, I have been interested in this chronograph. Then this version, black Roman numerals, was released 2 years later, still with the 8R48 chronograph movement featuring a column wheel and a vertical clutch. The Enamel dials are still subcontracted by an independent enameler, Mitsuru Yokosawa. The manufacture of such dials (3 raised sub-dials 😳), requires a know-how that has become rare. The work is artisanal, done by hand and therefore reserved for small series. Mitsuri Yokosawa says she can only make 200 per month. Since I acquired this model, I have had a hard time wearing another one. This synthesis between traditional watchmaking, recalled by the Email dial, with this typography, which was present on almost all pocket watches, clocks, etc ... especially throughout the 19th century, and the modernity of the case, its technicality (movement), makes this watch very interesting and endearing. In addition, today, Seiko no longer produces an Email dial chronograph, which makes this model a fairly rare watch.

I find this watch very elegant and original. Its three dials (day of the week, date and day/night) give it a practical aspect and a complicated quartz watch. I particularly like its shape, the black striated dial with its three inlaid dials, as well as the movement of the seconds which is reminiscent of that of a mechanical watch.

My first Seiko and probably not the last.

I just bought this magnificent Seiko Style 60's GMT.

First of all, I would like to point out that I bought this watch in the Seiko boutique in Aix-en-Provence, the service and advice were great from the boutique manager.

I find this watch superb, indeed, it has a blue-gray dial that offers multiple shades.
The shiny applied indexes really bring out the light.
The diameter of 40.75mm may seem large but the GMT bezel really reduces the diameter.
The GMT bezel has a very light two-tone that I didn't notice right away.

I find the finishes of this watch incredible for the price.

On the other hand, there is one thing that I can't understand why the Style 60's collection is part of the Presage range?
We are halfway between dressy and sporty ("sport-chic")?

In short, it is a bipolar watch but it is no less magnificent.
There will definitely be another Seiko in my collection one day.


Fatal Beauty

A little gem that accompanies me on every occasion. This Seiko marks both the first watch I own and a gift given to me by my family for my 25th birthday. It therefore logically has great value when I wear it and admire it.

I would like to introduce you to my beautiful Seiko Presage SPB173J1 special edition, a watch only available in Seiko stores in Asia. Bought in Malaysia during a trip, its enamel green dial that absorbs light by changing from forest green to black via various colors of fir trees, it was my first watch on a steel bracelet.
Its Roman numerals, its power reserve and the date at 6 o'clock give it a crazy charm, wanting to buy a watch that is rarely seen on the European market, I think it is successful, then it is a nice holiday souvenir, with a welcome at the Seiko store quite fabulous.
