ATLEMAN, a brand that is completely unknown to me. One of the watches I inherited from my grandfather in the early 2000s, and it is fully functional. The case, dial, and hands are (according to my watchmaker) 18k gold and it has the diamond-shaped hallmark of the French master craftsman who designed the case, dial, and hands, and also has a second oval hallmark with an owl's head. It is a very small 34mm watch with a beautiful domed crystal. The strap is not original, but I have the original strap stored somewhere at home. The mechanical hand-wound caliber is (again according to my watchmaker) an FHF96 of Swiss origin. The winding crown is no longer original, but I still have the original crown stored somewhere next to the original strap. This watch is said to date from the late 1940s to the early 1960s, which is a rough approximation, but that's the only information I have on it. Since I like to wear my watches, I occasionally put it on my wrist for a day, and every time I wear it, this watch moves me.

A guilloché dial, a small seconds hand, an integrated bracelet, and a 60-hour power reserve; what more could you ask for?
And all this for a reasonable price, something the Japanese have mastered.
I find the watch well-balanced, with unbeatable value for money. It's a watch that offers much more than you'd expect.
Personally, I love it; it shows a lot without being too flashy; the balance is perfect.

Citizen tsuyosa small seconds

Having a luxury watch from a well-known brand on your wrist, no one except a budding thief will notice it. But when you wear a Beaubleu, your wrist becomes a curiosity, and everyone wants one.

I will admit, however, that after 40, my eyesight deteriorates, and it's impossible for me to always read the time on it. It's a very fun watch, very well-made, and eye-catching.

I enjoy having this watch in my collection and watching the hands spin, even though it most often ends up on my wife's wrist.

Bernard Schoeller could have designed it

This isn't my first, but my second of the same model, because the first one was lost on a busy street in Marseille.
But I bought it again because this Timex had pleasantly surprised me with its quality and I absolutely had to have it again for everyday use.
For the price and the sales it often enjoys, this watch is worth a look.
It even has a split-seconds chronograph complication that's pleasant to look at and allows you to time yourself between two red lights in the middle of traffic jams.
If you find it on sale, I recommend it.
Its vintage style makes it endearing.

Q as in quartz but a chronometer that runs like a machine.

This is a Mortima, and not just any Mortima, as this one was given to me by my grandfather in the early 1990s, so it has great sentimental value.
At an age when talking or calculating watches were worn, I proudly displayed this magnificent, super-luxurious Mortima on my wrist, with its hand-wound Catin 66 caliber with a single jewel and gold-plated case.
A reliable watch, an easy-to-maintain caliber, and a vintage style that, incidentally, is truly of the era.
For about 35 years, this watch has never left my collection, since it's the first.

A perfect everyday watch, and I think I'm well placed to attest to that, having owned this beauty for over 20 years.
And as incredible as it may seem, the battery has never been changed since I bought it in the early 2000s. So, when Casio tells you the battery will last 10 years, with any luck, it will last over 20. This watch can tell you the time in over 24 cities around the world, in addition to local time, of course. It also has a phone book and allows you to store up to 30 phone numbers. In addition to the three alarms, in case one isn't enough, it has a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and even a luminescent function.
So, I can assure you that this watch is perfect in every way.

The most perfect and complete of watches

I was looking for a reliable and precise watch for everyday life but also to go into the water without stressing. Not being 20 years old anymore, my priority is the reading quality. The watch is large, 44 mm, white hands on a black background, the contrast offers perfect reading. I like it first because for me it is above all a reliable tool. This Casio has a great reputation, its quartz movement is precise and robust, I don't worry about winding it, I'm not afraid that it will stop or go out of adjustment. I can go anywhere and do anything, I have confidence. I bought it with the steel bracelet so I can wear it in any circumstances, city or adventure. A few seconds in front of a light bulb and the lume will be readable in the dark after 6 hours of sleep, weak, but very readable. It is elegant and without frills, that's what I like. In short, a steel diver that goes to 200 meters, which is very beautiful and reliable and which also costs less than 100 euros, I am really impressed. I have a few watches and I particularly like this one. Thank you Casio.

Charming diver

What a surprise it was to discover this unpretentious little Casio, so far from the Grand Seiko finishes, but for less than €60 it holds its own against many more expensive models. 
The Quartz movement is precise, the fluted bezel is very effective and this blue dial is very beautiful, it is also sunrayed. 
It is a watch that goes everywhere that you can happily wear a few n daily without fear.

A nice surprise

The Casio Duro Marlin is a great watch that accompanies me every day in all my sporting activities thanks to its robustness and its 20 ATM water resistance (screw-down crown). Perfect for swimming or cycling. The Casio is robust with its generous 45 mm diameter but easily portable thanks to its rounded horns. The alignments are perfectly done and the quartz movement is very robust. This daily is not lacking in pep thanks to its pretty black sunray dial, its marlin design with a date window and a pretty red second hand. I can only recommend this Duro Marlin available at a price of 60 euros. It has an important place in my collection.

Casio MDV-106

(Casio W-753) I have been wearing this watch for about fifteen years. It is incredibly solid! It is a little dented and the plastic has yellowed but it still works perfectly despite everything it has been through! The main advantage of this watch is the tide gauge which is very useful when you live by the sea like me! It also has countless other functions (moon phases, compass, chrono, countdown, GMT, several alarms, etc.). Setting the tide gauge is quite tedious but you can easily find tutorials on the internet. A real Swiss army knife, uh... Japanese!

As a side note: When I bought a box to store my early collection, I bought this watch to reach the amount so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Less than €20. And I think it's pretty.

It's light. I think it's pretty. And I really enjoy wearing it.

The strap is inexpensive and incredibly comfortable against the skin.
