Santa brought me my 2025 favorite watch: this magnificent Royale Paris 39.5mm with an opaline dial and full complications, equipped with the Calibre Royal. And what a feat! This in-house caliber boasts a triple instantaneous jump, large date and day in 2/100ths of a second (3 patents and 80 components), a 96-hour power reserve with a large barrel, moon phases with two hemispheres, and a stunning grained opaline dial with relief and a gouge around its periphery. The case has been redesigned to be very compact, measuring 47mm lug to lug and 39.5mm in diameter. It features new ergonomics and superb machining with polished and brushed finishes.

A truly stunning aesthetic and technical achievement!

On August 6, 2022, I got married in Florence. I wore my blue Pequignet Royale GMT on my left wrist for the most beautiful day of my life. And what a surprise! Around 1 p.m., during the unveiling, I saw a Pequignet Attitude watch box on a bench in the rose garden. I opened it with my wife, and I was thinking of the steel and gold Attitude. It was the pink Attitude she had just given me, numbered 45, like Loiret, our department. It's magnificent and so elegant for a wedding, with its fabulous ivory dial and hand-painted limited edition serial number. So, I had two Pequignet watches on my wedding day, the most beautiful day of my life.

I personally owned the Extreme 300 with a black dial and orange bezel. But I thought, if we give it a sunburst blue dial, it will have even more vibrancy. And if we add the steel case back, we can admire the fabulous Calibre Royal. I insisted that the Pequignet team develop a new case back, which they did, much to my delight. The result is exceptional. Only 30 of these watches exist in the world. I personally own the 7/30. It was released with a blue Cordura strap with orange stitching, but you could also buy an orange rubber strap as an option. It's incredibly comfortable and can be worn anywhere.

Magnificent Limited Edition Royal Caliber Manufacture!

In February 2016, I organized a visit to the Pequignet manufacture in Morteau with a group of friends. It was a revelation! The teams, the engineers, the watchmakers… Admirable people with true expertise and strong values. They design their own calibers. During the visit, we learned that the Calibre Royale GMT was being finalized, with the GMT model slated for release in the fall. I fell in love with the sunburst blue dial version, which is magnificent. It's both technically sophisticated and stunning. Its dial is the most beautiful blue I've ever seen. It was this splendor that inspired the 80 Clouzeau Limited Editions to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Clouzeau jewelry, with two models—air-wound and manual-wind—featuring the same dial in 2019. This is the watch of a lifetime, because it's thanks to this watch that I became passionate about the brand, and it's the watch in my collection with the greatest emotional value.

I have been wearing this watch with pleasure for several months. Very light with its FKM. Very beautiful finishes with the blue anti-reflective glass and the dial with indexes hollowed out of the metal. A face and finishes!

This watch is a true masterpiece of French watchmaking!

The Royal caliber, (almost) 100% designed and manufactured in France, is not only beautiful to behold, but offers an official 96-hour power reserve, though mine easily exceeds 100 hours.

Comfortable on the wrist, with an incredible dial boasting exquisite finishing, it's much more than just a timepiece: it's a watch that tells a story, and not just any story: the story of French passion and excellence.

Its dial amazes me every time I look at it; it exudes a natural elegance that doesn't try too hard. Just the right touch. Perfectly proportioned curves, neither too large nor too thick, everything is crafted with finesse, from the hands to the complications.

The moon phase adds a touch of poetry to this timepiece. Although its representation is based on realistic photographs from NASA, it doesn't prevent us from dreaming and proves that mechanics, too, can be poetry. It's a fragment of the universe captured on the wrist, a silent dialogue between man, the moon, and time.

Every detail exudes French craftsmanship and pride, from the dial design to the softness of the strap, to the precision of the movement.

Wearing it on your wrist is to feel an intimate connection with time. It's a watch I bought for myself for my 30th birthday, so it had to convey something special. It's an emotion, a presence, a daily companion that reminds us that beauty also lies in precision and patience. I'm intentionally not showing you photos of the movement because it has a specific serial number that I wish to keep private, but I encourage you to look at the photos from other members of the platform or on the Pequignet website because it's truly beautiful to behold.

My word for it: elegance! But any watch, French elegance. Savoring every moment while wearing this timepiece is to display your passion with a touch of pride.

The French watchmaking crush

Already the owner of the Royal automatic caliber with the Péquignet Royale moon phase, I wanted to acquire the manual version of this movement but with a different dial from mine, more modern and here comes the Paris Royal aventurine limited series at the end of 2024. The magnificent sandwich case of the Paris Royale with the manual movement with 100 hours of power reserve and, the cherry on the cake, a pure blue aventurine dial. A first at Péquignet. This very limited series of 30 copies is only sold in Péquignet Boutiques or on the site. The dial is hypnotizing for a 2-hand with its constantly changing reflections, in short I love it!!
