Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Owner Review : Professional, timeless and authentic

2018.. I've been carrying an Apple Watch around on my wrist for several months now but I feel like something is wrong, I feel a bit ridiculous and like a toy. I know absolutely nothing about watchmaking but it's with this simple question "what does a "real" watch look like other than the Apple Watch?" that I type "watch" into the YouTube search bar. After a few videos I know a bit more, I understand the craftsmanship, the engineering, etc... but one thing is for sure: this Omega that everyone is talking about is incredibly ugly and I will never have a watch like this that I found complex and vulgar. The next day I decided to find out more about these stories of beautiful watches, so I pushed open the door of Omega "hello m, I don't know anything about watches, my grandmother always had Omegas so you're the only ones I know" .. we spoke to the seller for a few minutes and I told him clearly that I found the speedmaster horrible and that I didn't understand its success at all. He offered to let me see it to give me a more "real" opinion and brought out this professional moonwatch on its leather strap. Those who have seen Harry Potter 1 will understand (the scene where the wand chooses its wizard). There was an instant click in me: I had never held a more beautiful object in my hands in my life. The absolute shock between the quality of manufacture, the overall harmony of this entire front face, the chrono movement without an oscillating weight at the back, the leather strap that goes perfectly with the watch. It was over. I instantly bought the watch (and had a final surprise with the simply enormous packaging) and it has not left me since. The speedmaster moonwatch on crocodile strap is the ultimate watch. Of course it cannot be worn on all occasions, forget sports, summer and its sweat (I bought it a magnificent Omega nylon strap for that) and the slightest drop of rain! The watch is not particularly practical since it must be wound manually every day and does not have a very good power reserve, not particularly precise without its stop second, not particularly robust (in just a few months I had to change the bezel for a shock that had completely deformed it) and not particularly reliable (I quickly had a problem with the chronograph whose hours were not precise) but this watch is nevertheless PERFECT It falls on the wrist as if it were part of you and each glance at it plunges you into a hypnosis and happiness that I have never found since.
