I've always loved dress watches. When I think of the definition of a watch, the image of a dress watch mounted on a leather strap always comes to mind. That's why I've always wanted one in my collection. As a teacher, I finally got a permanent job, and I wanted to mark the occasion by treating myself to a dress watch worthy of the occasion. During my research, I found nothing of interest in the modern watch market. I find most modern dress watches too large in diameter and thickness. So I turned to vintage watches. While browsing Chrono24, I came across the Omega Genève. I was immediately drawn to them. 35mm in diameter, 10mm thick, a very warm domed crystal, sunny dials, and above all, a reliable, highly regarded movement that's easy to service. All for a very attractive price; I got mine for less than 800 euros. So I finally gave in and bought one. From the first moment I saw the watch, I was very pleased with its dimensions. The watch is very comfortable to wear and I find it very elegant. Moreover, its movement is very reliable for a watch from the 1960s (8 seconds slow per day). But you have to be careful with water and shock, even more so for a vintage watch. It has rarely left my wrist since I got it. It's truly impressive to know that watches this old can work so well today. I plan to wear this watch and spend my entire teaching career with it!
