Ollech & Wajs C-1000 Y Owner Review : Energized, fun and sporty

I received this watch as a gift for my 35th birthday. Already a devoted customer of the brand, I was completely captivated by the yellow dial of this new iteration of the C 1000. I can place it next to my 1964 Caribbean 1000 702 DE, and I can confidently say that this C 1000 is a worthy successor. In both cases, the impeccable craftsmanship conveys an impressive sense of robustness and solidity. The design is effective, yet still quite characteristic of the brand. The bezel of this C 1000 Yellow is truly lovely to look at and pleasant to handle. The Luminova is present, and while it's not something that particularly excites me, I have to admit it's a nice touch! So yes, indeed, this C 1000 is heavy, especially with the Milanese mesh bracelet. But when you're a bit of a daredevil like me, you're genuinely reassured to wear this on your wrist. The yellow dial is truly striking and gives this watch a less "serious" feel. In my opinion, it's the perfect blend of an extremely serious tool watch and a fun one, as this yellow is so well-suited and adds a real touch of charm to the piece. Ollech, true to its history and reputation, offers with this C 1000 Y a highly technical yet playful and incredibly appealing tool watch. It's my new best friend, and it's here to stay!
