A while back, I posted a review of a Baltic MR01, which I've since deleted. In my review of that watch, I mentioned that I knew I wouldn't necessarily keep it because I've always had a soft spot for German dress watches, especially those from Glashütte (owning an A. Lange & Söhne is a horological dream of mine...). Not yet able to afford my ambitions, I turned to a Nomos, in a very specific context, as it was a gift from my family for my 30th birthday! This watch has a very special sentimental value for me. Knowing that people pooled their money to make me happy is incredibly moving… It’s not the most expensive watch I own, but it holds far greater sentimental significance than any other. So, I won’t lie, I knew what I wanted, and I based my choice on my preferences. Owning a watch from the village of Glashütte was a goal of mine to complete my collection, and now it’s a reality! It's a watch with a simple yet effective design, extremely thin with an in-house movement, and for under €2,000, I think it's hard to find better. It's a real joy to wear, and the mechanical movement visible on the back with its beautiful Glashütte ribbing and blued screws—honestly, there's nothing to criticize. I feel like I own a true collector's item, and it's always a real pleasure to wear it. Not the most expensive watch in my collection, but clearly the one with the greatest sentimental value.
