MU:N Orion Green Edition Owner Review : Completed, stellar and different

It's a magnificent watch, the most significant in my modest collection, the only one with that famous moon phase. I discovered this very young brand in an episode of STARTUP-HEURES on Dialicious's YouTube channel, and I was immediately drawn to its collaborative, passionate spirit focused on the Moon Phase complication. The designers are French, and the watches are made in Switzerland. I find the Orion series very accomplished compared to their previous releases, which is why I was tempted to acquire a model. The striking technical feature is a luminescent moon disc with a realistic starry sky laser-engraved with extreme precision. After a slight manufacturing delay and a few delivery issues, I received my watch, numbered 40/200, less than a week before celebrating my 40th birthday; it was the gift I gave myself for this special occasion. This is a mechanical watch, not an automatic one. The brand made this choice so that it wouldn't be too thick for its diameter. I like this because it's my only hand-wound watch, and I find it allows for more interaction with the watch, both through daily winding and through resetting the time, date, and lunar day in case of a stoppage. I particularly like the quality of the finish on the case and the steel bracelet, with the alternating polished/brushed finishes, which I wasn't used to on my previous watches. The leather strap is also of excellent quality, again compared to my other watches. It's pleasant to the touch, and you can see that it will last over time. I just hope it softens a little. The pin buckle is also very well done. I enjoy wearing the watch on its steel bracelet as much as on its leather strap. The alternation also allows for a renewed sense of pleasure in everyday wear. Regarding the dial, I really don't regret choosing the Green model; it's truly beautiful and original. Ultimately, what I enjoy most about contemplating isn't necessarily the Moon, but rather the whole thing, with all the little graduation details, the flying indexes, the different textures, the depth effects, the shiny hands... The date is also very well integrated. The back of the watch is absolutely beautiful, with the solar panel-style decoration on the bridges adding even more detail and complexity. At night, the indexes and hands, but especially the realistic Moon, are luminescent. The blue Moon is obviously very beautiful to look at, but ultimately what captivates me most is the luminescent tip of the second hand, which floats and rotates around the dial, like a satellite. I admit that the fact that the 12 o'clock position doesn't have any distinctive markings, unlike 6 o'clock, is a little disconcerting, especially when you're putting the watch on (you almost want to turn it over), but ultimately it adds to its mysterious and distinctive quality, which I like. In conclusion, this watch gives me great satisfaction, thanks to its quality, its original design, and its complications, which allude to astronomy.
