MATWATCHES Timer Owner Review : Pleasant, versatile and adventurous

This MAT (Sea-Air-Land) Timer OPS chronograph was given to me about fifteen years ago, and I believe it has endured everything a watch wouldn't want to endure. It's certainly a quartz chronograph, but there are limits! The second hand is slightly offset following an impact, and the black PVD-coated steel bracelet and case are subtly (or not) scratched... After all these years, it's still there, but I've forgotten its characteristics and history. After some quick research, I discovered that it was one of the first models produced by the MAT brand, if not the first. It has variants: RAID or simply stamped on the Timer OPS dial. This one is a "Parachutist" edition. In theory, it is water-resistant to 200m, but nothing is written on the case or dial to this effect; the crown, however, is screwed down. I'm not sure if the crystal is sapphire because I unfortunately managed to scratch it once. This is definitely one of the watches I'll keep for life, even if it doesn't require a case; it'll be there for all my work, hikes, and other activities. This is the type of watch to have in your collection when you want to get started on an activity and you're worried about damaging your other watches. In the future, I plan to do some research to learn more about these specifications and the origins of its creation by MAT.
