Tissot PRX digital, 40 mm. I bought it about ten days ago and almost left a review immediately. That would have been a mistake, given the initial rush. The quartz movement/price ratio seemed unfair, especially since the functions are so basic! But then, as the days went by, the perceived quality, the comfort, and its certain elegance made me change my mind...or almost. Why PRX? Is the brand solid enough to create a different design and name? Given the success of the original model, I understand the continuation. This model is just as heavy as the automatic version. The readability is good. An important detail: the discount applied at the time of purchase. I wouldn't have bought it at full price. A good buy nonetheless.

What can I say...Given the "thickness" of the Citizen group, they can afford to release models like this.
Titanium case, solar quartz movement, calfskin strap for around 180 euros with the sales...The latter is heavier than the case!
Lightness, readability, reliability, water resistance...I got the all-blue model, which is as pretty as it is discreet.
In the morning, don't want to wind an automatic? It's always available; it's comfortable.
The only downside is the small size of the date/day window, which isn't very legible. No big deal.
Too perfect? No, just ideal for everyday reading.

Do as I do, wear a...

Codhor watch, from the 80s, bought less than 10 years ago in NOS condition on eBay...about 36 mm in diameter, hand-wound...never serviced, keeps time perfectly with a power reserve of about 40 hours!!!...You have to wonder if you should spend more?!...fortunately there is something else, than the utilitarian side, in the passion for watches...I rarely wear it but I am happy to own one in this condition, it reminds me of another era with this famous ad.

Swatch Obsidian Shimmer, 40 mm
Very flat metal case, metal pin buckle, very supple silicone strap. Very comfortable and very readable. Its dial could be mesmerizing. No lume for nighttime use, which is a shame. No second hand, extremely silent. Impulse purchase at a price (€215) that I find excessive for such a watch.

A silent but expensive Swatch...

A pleasant watch for summer. As light as a plastic Swatch! Its gray color is unique due to the transparent case back, which reveals the mechanism. It's easy to read with its blue indexes and red hands. The strap is very flexible, which is pleasant. I own a few Swatch watches, and this is by far the loudest... a real 80s alarm clock!!! Irreplaceable for keeping accurate time every day.

Light, readable, precise...but noisy!

It reminds me of watches from the 80s, the Camel Trophy, especially the bezel. Personally, I wouldn't wear it for canyoning, hiking, or any other dynamic activity; G-Shock does better. But for everyday use or for a discovery trip, it will do the job perfectly. It exudes quality. From the moment you wind it manually, you can feel the solidity of the mechanism. Perfect readability, 3 hands... the basics. The strap is good, the stitching ensures good strength, even during a stay in humid areas, you won't risk losing the case (experience...). The motor is excellent, with an 80-hour power reserve, which is comfortable. The only downside is the design of the pin buckle, which is square and doesn't really match. I was just saying something! During this sales period, it remains very interesting as an impulse purchase!!!

My Lip Nautic Ski 7th continent has a magnificent dial color... a blue... you'd think you were there. 41 mm, in polished steel (too much?), it has a recycled plastic strap that is not very comfortable. In addition, its oscillating weight is quite noisy and the screwed crown catches a little. I can't wait to give it a little bath!

Bought (after seeing it on different Vlogs and Publications), via the Official Store. Love at first sight, in Image(s), and it was still nothing, compared to the Reception!!!… The Blue Dial, is just Magnificent, with these Color Variations (especially in Summer, when the Sun shines). 38mm case. It has its Thickness, but that does not bother the Wrist at all. Tested in Swimming Pool, and Diving… It Still Runs, Like a Clock… 😉

A Nice Little Diver…

My Nautic-Ski dates from 1970, the year I was born. I love its aesthetics, its patina. When I look at it, I see Pompidou with a cigarette in his mouth, Claude his wife in a suit, the France we love, which innovates in technical fields, art... This watch is a piece of French history.

Lip Nautic Ski

I bought this watch while waiting to have my grandfather's 1967 Lip Nautic-ski restored. This reissue is a great success for me. Equipped with a Myota movement, it will be very easy to have it serviced or repaired in the event of a problem (the precision leaves something to be desired but is nevertheless quite correct, especially given the price of €499). With its 38mm diameter, I think it respects the spirit of the original watch and is suitable for a large number of wrists. It is the least expensive watch in my collection and yet it is the one I wear the most. It is very fun to change the strap depending on your outfit because with its black color it goes everywhere.

A successful reissue!

A watch that I love, that I chose and that was given to me for my 30th birthday by my parents. Its gray dial is the most beautiful in my eyes, enhanced by a very domed sapphire. I regret the total absence of lume, disappointing for a diver. However, on the wrist - and during the day - this defect is quickly forgotten.

This watch simply wasn't on my agenda. As an Apple Watch wearer, having abandoned mechanical watches for several years due to repeated issues with unfortunate breakages, this watch caught my eye while visiting a friend's shop, and I had no choice but to take it home! It was a new starting point for a passion that had never really left me...

Excellent value for money when it first came out, and the deep blue of the dial delighted me for a while. Today, I no longer wear it because I've discovered models with superior finishes.

In any case, I have no regrets; this watch allowed me to restart on a budget with a model that's versatile enough to withstand my daily wear. Some people won't like its unidirectional self-winding Miyota caliber which lets the oscillating weight spin in the air like a top, for me it's the opposite, it's the only thing I miss with my higher quality watches today, I've always liked to feel the mechanical life on my wrist (I started with a Valjoux 7750 as a teenager...)
