The must-have Macro Loupe for all watch lovers

I acquired this watch in early 2010 in a mall jewelry store. It has a 42 mm case, a thickness of approximately 12 mm, and a 22 mm lug width. It runs on an automatic Miyota caliber 82 something.
I was captivated by its white dial, which reminded me of snow, especially with its glacier-style patterns.
It has two subdials: a small seconds hand and a 24-hour indicator. Its open heart is pleasant to look at.
It still runs as well as when it left the store, with a movement that was replaced in 2022, not by Lip, which refused to accept this watch for repair on the grounds that they no longer produced this model.
In conclusion, I like this watch and will remain an unconditional supporter of Lip.

It's equipped with a ETA Caliber 2763, a hand-wound movement with a 47-hour power reserve, and its case has a diameter of 37 mm.

The dial is silver-toned, satin-finished, and ultra-legible. It doesn't try to impress with garish colors or exuberant textures. No, it prefers the low morning light, which glides delicately over its brushed surface and makes the reflections dance on its applied steel indexes. Each element is perfectly aligned.
And then there's that touch of originality: the Memodate function, discreet but useful, which transforms this elegant watch into a mini-organized companion. The cushion case is a UFO in a world of circles.
So that's the cherry on the dial. The cushion case is a nod to the 70s, a structure that lends charisma without overdoing it. And above all, it breaks the codes of the classic round-round.
At the crossroads between square and circle, it's resolutely original, yet remains highly wearable. It hugs the wrist like a good Claude François song; it never goes out of style, and it's always a pleasure when it comes back.
This Pontiac is a bit like a 1972 movie poster: an unexpected design, perfect readability, a hint of technology, and undeniable charm. It doesn't shout its style, it whispers it with class.

I'm vintage, but I still have class

This reissue of a 1960s watch is, in my opinion, a great success. I find it very elegant, and all this for a small budget.
With a small 34 mm diameter and a very thin thickness, even with its domed acrylic crystal, it has all the hallmarks of a 1960s watch.
It is equipped with a Seagull ST6 mechanical movement, and the feel of the crown when wound is the same as on a watch from that era.
The champagne sunray dial changes with the light, and it's very beautiful.
Even the faux lizard strap is good quality for the price.
In conclusion, if you like vintage watches, this is a good compromise to be able to wear this watch without worrying about its proper functioning.
However, this is another watch my wife often steals!

A vintage inspiration that has stood the test of time

A gadget watch that has become an icon for 80s lovers with its retro-futuristic look and a keyboard that makes you feel like you can turn on the old VCR you've got stored in your basement in case video cassettes come back into fashion.
With this Casio calculator, my wrist is ready and no longer has to worry about any potential surprise exams.
Like all resin Casios, it feels indestructible, and in addition to having a calculator function, I can time or countdown, and if I need to wake up, it even has an alarm function. The smartwatch before the smartwatch.

A geek watch par excellence

I often compare Yema to Peugeot. It's French, it's very beautiful, and the designs are successful for both brands. However, is the Yema 2000 caliber as reliable as a PureTech engine? I must have gotten a bad batch, because since I've owned this watch, it's gone in for service four times for various issues. In the end, they ended up replacing the caliber altogether, and so far, so good.
The good thing, compared to Peugeot, is that Yema doesn't fuss and takes the watch in for service right away. What's more, I received a one-year warranty extension.
Despite all that, I like this watch, even though, three months after purchasing it, I found it 30% off on their website. I still like this watch: its case, bezel, and two straps are very well done, and I like its color, which is also very well done. In conclusion, would I buy a Yema again? I don't know. Even if the Yema Skin Divers CMM 20 tempts me, I'll wait and see.

The other YEMA

My Depancel… Even more beautiful in real life than in the photo. The quality and finish are top-notch, with lots of little details that make all the difference.
The 42mm diameter and 12mm thick case offers a nice presence on the wrist, without making it too intrusive.
I love its sporty look, while still maintaining a chic touch.
This lovely watch was given to me by my wife in 2020, and since then, it's been a beautiful love story between the two of us (er… no, I meant the three of us, my watch, my wife, and me).
In conclusion, this Depancel delights me every time I wear it, and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

Depancel Auto RS Heritage Blue

It's larger than an original 1970s model, but the LIP Grande Nautic is a particularly interesting watch, especially for lovers of neo-vintage French watches.
It continues the legacy of Lip, an iconic French watchmaking brand inspired by 1970s models.
It's a watch with a strong character, featuring a deep blue dial that looks magnificent in the sun. Its Super Compressor case, internal bezel, two screw-down crowns, and domed sapphire crystal add to this watch's charm.
What's more, it's truly waterproof to 200 meters, and you can actually go in the water with it.
Yes, despite all the flaws this watch may have (weight, size, thickness), I enjoy wearing it and looking at it.
What more can I say, other than that I love this watch and would happily indulge in a vintage model.

A modern take on a vintage 70s watch

ATLEMAN, a brand that is completely unknown to me. One of the watches I inherited from my grandfather in the early 2000s, and it is fully functional. The case, dial, and hands are (according to my watchmaker) 18k gold and it has the diamond-shaped hallmark of the French master craftsman who designed the case, dial, and hands, and also has a second oval hallmark with an owl's head. It is a very small 34mm watch with a beautiful domed crystal. The strap is not original, but I have the original strap stored somewhere at home. The mechanical hand-wound caliber is (again according to my watchmaker) an FHF96 of Swiss origin. The winding crown is no longer original, but I still have the original crown stored somewhere next to the original strap. This watch is said to date from the late 1940s to the early 1960s, which is a rough approximation, but that's the only information I have on it. Since I like to wear my watches, I occasionally put it on my wrist for a day, and every time I wear it, this watch moves me.

Atleman and non-lemania

You leave home and realize that none of your watches are wound and they're not on time.
You're in a hurry.
This Casio is ideal because as long as it has a battery, it will keep time.
Plus, I find it very elegant for a digital watch.
It will go with any of your outfits, whether you're dressed more formally or sportier, it will look great.
A very low price for a versatile watch.

A fast watch from Casio

A guilloché dial, a small seconds hand, an integrated bracelet, and a 60-hour power reserve; what more could you ask for?
And all this for a reasonable price, something the Japanese have mastered.
I find the watch well-balanced, with unbeatable value for money. It's a watch that offers much more than you'd expect.
Personally, I love it; it shows a lot without being too flashy; the balance is perfect.

Citizen tsuyosa small seconds

Having a luxury watch from a well-known brand on your wrist, no one except a budding thief will notice it. But when you wear a Beaubleu, your wrist becomes a curiosity, and everyone wants one.

I will admit, however, that after 40, my eyesight deteriorates, and it's impossible for me to always read the time on it. It's a very fun watch, very well-made, and eye-catching.

I enjoy having this watch in my collection and watching the hands spin, even though it most often ends up on my wife's wrist.

Bernard Schoeller could have designed it

This isn't my first, but my second of the same model, because the first one was lost on a busy street in Marseille.
But I bought it again because this Timex had pleasantly surprised me with its quality and I absolutely had to have it again for everyday use.
For the price and the sales it often enjoys, this watch is worth a look.
It even has a split-seconds chronograph complication that's pleasant to look at and allows you to time yourself between two red lights in the middle of traffic jams.
If you find it on sale, I recommend it.
Its vintage style makes it endearing.

This is a Mortima, and not just any Mortima, as this one was given to me by my grandfather in the early 1990s, so it has great sentimental value.
At an age when talking or calculating watches were worn, I proudly displayed this magnificent, super-luxurious Mortima on my wrist, with its hand-wound Catin 66 caliber with a single jewel and gold-plated case.
A reliable watch, an easy-to-maintain caliber, and a vintage style that, incidentally, is truly of the era.
For about 35 years, this watch has never left my collection, since it's the first.
