This GG-W-113 is an authentic US Army issue watch with fixed spring bars, a completely matte case, and a black dial with painted markers.

Its 34mm size makes it extremely comfortable to wear, and its domed plexiglass crystal gives it incredible charm.

I bought this little watch on eBay in the USA because at the time, for €300, it was one of the most affordable ways to own a mechanical watch steeped in history.

I recovered this Jaeger Lecoultre that belonged to my grandfather. I do not know the name of the model but only its reference 9212 21. With its small diameter of 34 mm it is very well worn for a gold watch with a gold dial. This is typically the style of vintage watches that can be easily found on the market to afford a gold watch that remains elegant and discreet at a reasonable price. Finally, because of the minimalism of its dial, we quickly pass the psychological barrier of the 34mm that can exist at first glance. I will continue my research, not despairing of knowing what is possibly not original on this watch, because on the few photos that I found online with the reference it had gold hands and a brown cabochon. In any case, this is the one I wear and I like it.

The easy-to-wear dress watch

One day in March 2021, I was talking with my mother, we were talking about my grandfather, who passed away in 1996. We were talking about his life, his journey, his story... and I asked a very simple question: "Did he have a watch?" My mother then answered me: "Yes, a Swiss watch, a... wait...
