This version is a modern reissue of the W10, the watch issued to the British Army in the 1970s. The military spirit is clearly present: a cushion-shaped case, a textured and highly legible dial, and a functional style that never tries too hard. With my 16.5cm chicken wrist, the dimensions are perfect: the watch remains compact, balanced, and much better proportioned than the "classic" 38mm Khaki Field, which unfortunately suffers from a lug-to-lug distance that's a bit too long for my taste. The mechanical movement is surprisingly accurate, and the 80-hour power reserve is more than enough for everyday wear. The only point that leaves me a little ambivalent is the lack of a sapphire crystal. In this price range ($800-$1000), it's a shame. The original NATO strap isn't great, but that's a matter of taste. These watches are a bit pricey when new, but like many Hamilton models, they can easily be found on the grey market, new, for around $600. I managed to get mine in near-new condition for $400, and I absolutely do not regret it.
